My thoughts exactly. And the USM RB didn't know to keep running on that option play. It was almost as if they had never practiced that option play. Which makes you wonder why they ran it.

I don't think either offense played very well, but I do think both defenses deserve some praise. Both did solid jobs and certainly looked like two of the best in C-USA.

I wish Southern Miss the best of luck with the rest of their season, and would certainly appreciate it if you can thump LA Tech.

I don’t see any scenario where we will reach bowl eligible status. 2 more wins tops. Our OL and OC have made this season almost as bad as our 0-12 season from 2012.

It won't be easy. I think you get UTEP, UTSA, and Charlotte. You are going to have to take one from LT, Marshall, or UAB.

I remember USM played UT Arlington almost every year for a while.....and when we played in Arlington it was at the old Texas Rangers ballpark. Weird!

Interesting Facts:Today's win over Southern Miss now give North Texas the lead in the all time series which dates back to 1954. North Texas now leads 7-6. The win tonight also marks the 3rd straight year North Texas has beaten Southern Miss.

Seth Littrell was the OC at North Carolina under former USM HC Larry Fedora then UNC head coach Larry Fedora. Seth Littrell has yet to lose to Southern Miss. Coincidence? I think not!
