I think Thomas will give careful thought to that (retiring) next June. If Trump seems in good shape for 2020, he may be tempted to stay until the second term. But definitely a risk.

The way its been nasty the past few weeks, I wouldn't put it past some far left radical to try to take out a Republican Senatorial or Congressional Candidate.
