Trumps election broke that paradigm in the same way Obama’s election destroyed the neocon movement.

their problem is we're in a two party antagonist system started by LBJ and they don't understand how to coalesce at this point.....

That's hard to do when your whole approach for 50 years has been, "Keep 'em dumb, keep 'em poor, keep 'em dependent on handouts, and you'll keep 'em voting democrat."

Well, it's worked in S. American.

Republicans keep the Senate and go to 54-46.
That would mean the Dems win 23 (out of a possible 35) Senate seats on Election Day, and the GOP only 12. The Dems should be cheering loudly if that happens.

Quote:Buzzy leaves the Court in 2019.

Amy Coney Barrett replaces Buzzy.
So you’re predicting Ginsburg dies next year. I mean, she’s old and frail, so who knows? but these people have access to the best health-care in the world. And they don’t have to be strong or in good shape. They just have to not-die. Because make no mistake, dying is what it would take to get any of the Clinton/Obama appointees out, so long as Trump is in power. They would not willingly let him name their replacement.

Quote:As soon as Barrett is confirmed in 2019. Justice Thomas announces his retirement.

Trump gets 4 picks.
I think Thomas will give careful thought to that (retiring) next June. If Trump seems in good shape for 2020, he may be tempted to stay until the second term. But definitely a risk.

Someone posted this video from August 2018 before. Doesn't look too good.

Like his campaign slogan says, "promises made-promises kept". Every single one of them. I could NEVER vote for Demon again. They have become Satans party in more ways than one. They are entirely evil in everything. The Bible says it well about the end.

I've come to feel that way about the Democratic leadership.

It will be difficult for the Dems to counter 4.1% GPA, 3.8% unemployment, increased Consumer Confidence, and 401k's up 27% in two years.

The really the only thing the Dems have left are widespread staged demonstrations, unsubstantiated personal attacks, and manufactured political scandals.

The way its been nasty the past few weeks, I wouldn't put it past some far left radical to try to take out a Republican Senatorial or Congressional Candidate.

All I can hope at this point is Republicans get complacent next month. It doesn't appear that it's going to work out that way but I haven't given up hope yet. A stupid Trump tweet here or there to piss off women, or minorities, or whatever wouldn't hurt either.

Another hope is that Kavanaugh becomes like Clarence Thomas and doesn't actually seem to exert any influence over other court members. The only hope for Democrats is Roberts says I'll be damned if Thomas and Kavanaugh shape the legacy of my court and he makes a few more Obamacare type decisions.

Lol

You don’t think Thomas has exerted any influence over the other justices?!?

Really?

Uhhhhh, no. He just doesn’t feel the need to go all “public buzzy” about things. Works in the proper protocol, process and system, the way it’s sposed to work.

H> of 1998 or even 2008 would look like an unacceptable moderate today. They’ve honestly gone that far nuts.

That and they are getting some VERY bad campaign/policy advice from their staff or whomever.

The idea that a guy like the Drumpf could win even the nomination, freaking forget the General, should have told them ALLLL they needed to know.

But, no. They instead throw all in with the likes of the Bern, doofus Booker, newly silenced CPL, Harris or the fake war hero and yea.

Despite what they, and clearly several on here, think.
Muricans ain stooping. Matter of fact many are quite smart. Easily smarter than those mentioned above.
