Why a pre trib rapture?

Lets put aside single verse "proofs" or similar arguments/proof texts for a moment.

One of the most glaring evidences of a pre trib rapture is found in the overall scope of the book of Revelation & the OT prophets.

Throughout the entire history of Israel, Gods focus was on a single nation. Not that Gentiles could not come to know God in those days (indeed many still did), but God's entire focus was on one single nation He had picked as His people. The law, the prophets, the Holy Land, ALL of it was about Israel and the coming Messiah.

But all that changed after the Resurrection of Christ and the birth of the current "church age". God's focus is not on a single nation, its on ALL people across the earth, ALL those called to become part of His body, no matter who they are or where the come from. As we know, this time period was clearly prophesied in many famous OT prophecies.

But in the coming great tribulation or "Time of Jacobs trouble" as is called by Jeremiah, Gods focus again shifts to one single nation. The entire focal point of the tribulation is around Israel and more importantly Jerusalem. There will be 144,000 Jewish men preaching the coming Kingdom to Israel and the Gentiles, there will 2 witnesses witnessing from Jerusalem that the whole world will see and hear, and they will be killed and their bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem for 3.5 days before they are resurrected in the sight of the whole world and raptured into heaven. The antichrist will invade Israel and Jerusalem and the battle of Armageddon will be fought in the Holy Land. When Christ returns for the 2nd coming WITH His bride, He will return to the Holy Land, and destroy the antichrist and his armies, and will save Israel in its most desperate hour.

We see a CLEAR shift back from the church age, BACK to Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews in the tribulation. Of course the whole world will be caught up in all of this, and many gentiles will also come to Christ at this time, but the central focus clearly shifts BACK to Israel in the tribulation, which we also call Daniel's 70th week.

We call these changes from pre flood, to Israel (law), to the church age, back to Israel and then to the 1000 year reign "DISPENSATIONS". And there is a CLEAR dispensational change here from the church age to the great tribulation/Time of Jacobs trouble. If we fail to acknowledge these major changes from the church age to the great tribulation, then we are left with MASSIVE contradictions in the text concerning salvation and much of the NT written to the Gentiles for the church age.

Without a removal of the church age saints from the earth, you are left with 2 different dispensations running together, 2 versions of gospels, and massive contradictions in the text concerning salvation, works and many different issues.

We also see a clear division in the text of Revelation itself, as the church is specifically mentioned 19 different times in the first 3 chapters of Revelation. Then when the FUTURE events of the tribulation begin in chapter 4, the church is not mentioned ONE SINGLE TIME from chapters 4-19. That fact alone should raise some serious flags and questions for those trying to place the modern church age in the tribulation.

You have John and Christ Himself giving specific instructions for the church in the church age, then SILENCE concerning the church as soon as the tribulation events begin in chapter 4, and a shifting focus instead to the Jews, Israel and the Holy Land. As the text says, Revelation is about the things that WERE (Christ's work on the cross) the things that ARE (Chruch age already in progress) and the things TO COME (the great tribulation/Daniels 70th week)

RE: Why a pre trib rapture?
To put it more simply, if Gods people today are the church (as we KNOW the NT teaches us) and there is no difference between Jew and Gentiles for those in Christ, then its a massive contradiction for God to suddenly become concerned about a single nation of people or land again above all others.

After all, all the Jews today have to do is accept Jesus as their Messiah, and they become ONE with all the Gentiles today who have accepted Him, and there is no difference between them or the Gentiles in Christ. We are all ONE BODY in Christ. Our earthly nationality has zero bearing ever again for those who are in Christ today.

Salvation is already available to all Jews across the earth, and to all the nation of Israel. Yet we see this DRAMATIC shift in the tribulation to a focus on Israel and the lost Jews (144,000 Jewish preachers, 2 witnesses in Jerusalem, War over the Holy Land, Armageddon, etc).

For God not to be massively contradicting Himself or be the author of total confusion, there has to be a major dispensational change here for the events of the tribulation to come to pass. The current church age (age of grace) must END, and those saints (Jew and Gentile) be REMOVED from the equation and only those lost Jews and Gentiles remain for this to work as written in His Word.

A pre trib rapture BEFORE the tribulation COMPLETELY removes all confusion and all contradictions here in one giant, sweeping motion. Its the only way to end the current dispensation to make way for the end times tribulation as written.
