I wouldn't even listen to UCF fans being certain he will stay. If(big if) UCF goes undefeated again I could see him leaving early bc what will he have to prove anymore at the college level?

It’s not about having more to prove, it’s about the fact that he looks like a long shot to make an NFL roster. There isn’t a long list of NFL quarterbacks his size. Brees and Wilson are exceptions, and Baker Mayfield is over 6’.

hes not going to grow 3 inches so if he is a 4th-5th round projection after two monster years 1 more monster year isn't changing anything. I think he stays but its not going to improve his draft stock any.

He's not going anywhere folks. He loves college and being at UCF. We return almost everyone on offense AGAIN next year and arguably will have even more weapons around him in 2019. If he stays, it will basically assure that he's in the national spotlight for 3 straight years and could probably break a ton of records along the way.

Brees is also over 6', measured at the 2001 combine: 6' 1/4".

Wilson is really his only height comparison and he has big legs, is really strong and weighed 205 while measuring 5"10 5/8" (just shy of 5"11"). if KZ is lucky he might measure at 5'9 5/8".

RE: McKenzie Milton...
First of all, let me say MM is a great college QB. He has exceeded all expectations. When I first saw him his freshman year, I didn't think he was that special. I thought he was a little undersized and had a weak to mediocre arm. I still think he has mediocre arm strength, but he is exceptionally accurate. And let's be honest, he probably measures at 5"10 or 5'10 1/2 at best. We'll find out at the combine. That said, he probably makes an NFL squad as a practice team player or 3rd team guy. I don't really see him as an early round pick, but more of an UDFA or late round guy at best. The NFL is really picky about QB heights. These are not knocks, he may go down as the best QB in conference history, if he isn't already there now.

Would you consider him a better college QB than Case Keenum though?

And yes - I realized Case wasn't a QB in the American, but still...I think he would be a good recent comparison for MM.

I actually agree with this. I did see the potential as a Freshman but he wasn't quite ready yet. Taking those bumps definitely helped him though.

I think he gets a shot at the next level but he won't be drafted to be the franchise guy.... hopefully he becomes one though (AFTER next season of course).

He's not an NFL qb and doesn't appear to be athletic enough to be a rb or Wr. As much as I wish it weren't the case he will definitely be with ucf next year.

If somehow he gets a 4th round grade absolutely he should declare, but he's an undrafted camp invite who would be a long shot to get on a practice squad.

I don't know why fans and coaches are so crazy over QBs height since everyone pass through passing lanes. And if you can add to the team, it doesn't matter if you run a pro-style scheme or the triple, you should get a chance, 1st or undrafted is just a detail.

Milton will get his shot, and I really hope he succeeds.

Because at 5' 10" he won't be able to see over a NFL offensive line. Watch Brees. He stands on his tippy toes to see over his linemen.

Its not just height, its size.

Milton still only weighs approx 185 lbs and gets "dinged up" regularly in many college games after a variety of hits/tackles.

Mayfield weighs THIRTY POUNDS more than Milton...and that much more muscle/size can help you body absorb hits.

RE: McKenzie Milton...
MM looked woozy a couple times during yesterdays game. He got absolutely crunched on one play in the 2nd half and surprised there wasn't a rough the passer call.

Kid is a gamer.

What is going to be interesting is to see if Heupel tell Milton to not run as much. If he goes down UCF's season is over. It reminds me a lot of Quinton Flowers last year where Strong said that Flowers probably could have run more earlier in the season but they didn't want to expose him to more hits than necessary especially when you win with other options. How Heupel handles this kid down the stretch is going to interesting to watch b/c USF, Temple and Cincy have some hard hitting and crazy fast defenses and he will takes some hits.

Heupel seems to change his game plan based on Milton's health...as he didn't call one designated run yesterday by Milton...whereas the game vs Pitt he called 2 designated running plays for Milton on the first drive.

Milton is banged up. He's nowhere near 100%.

Hopefully we can get up big on ECU and pull him, then let him get healthy over the bye week.

ecu has dline named harvey who leads the nation in sacks....he kept getting to king

no one has touched king all season (1 sack allowed all season before ecu) ecu had 3 on us .. ecu had a game with 9sacks

ecu overall isnt good, but they arent the game to get a qb healthy
