Not sure what our chances are, but I would be impressed if we sign this guy.

Love to get him! However, I put very little faith in crystal ball guesses...

He was the first guy to Crystal Ball DJ Jeffries to MS State back when everyone else was picking Memphis

Maybe the two recruitments have a connection (Precious being interested in Memphis has DJ looking elsewhere)

Possibly, this is the way I was thinking. A kid being recruited wants to know he is truly wanted and not just an option.

While I agree with a kid wanting to feel like a school is committed to him it is a 2 way street. If he was signed and we were still recruiting for his position I could see that stance.

Tigers, Kansas and UNC are coming on strong for him. Will be setting up visits by mid January per the link. Achiuwa has played with Quinones on AAU circuit if I saw that correctly.

We may not get him but Penny and staff are going toe-to-toe and punching it out with the Blue Bloods for recruits. We've come a long way in one year.

According to DJ and dad, DJ was about to sign with Moo state because they felt Penny had other priorities. An in-home snatched him back shortly before he committed. Slater wasn’t that far off.

If you guys had your choice between two of these three... Hurt, Watford, Achiuwa. Who would you want.

I’d want Hurt and Achiuwa.

Tough one. If I'm thinking about playing best off of Wiseman I might say Hurt and Watford.

But I do think Achiuwa's athleticism fits well and may have the biggest upside in playing both ends of the floor at a high level. Can't go wrong if getting Achiuwa begins a pipeline into Montverde's program for players.

He sounds like a guy who can defend like an upperclassman as a Freshman ala Ant Davis and Kidd Gilchrist. That will win big come tourney time.

The return to relevancy is already here on the recruiting circuit. It is quite amazing.
