Barstool Ranks All 353 D1 Basketball Teams

And now for a look at how the WAC fared...

352. Cal Baptist
347. Chicago State
278. UTRGV
272. Seattle U
259. UMKC
197. CSUB
146. UVU
130. NMSU
94. GCU

There may be one or two small exceptions, but I generally believe everyone will finish better than projected. I'm looking forward to every single team in the conference giving Barstool a giant middle finger by beating out these rankings.

They must have high expectations for Chicago St. Everyone else should finish higher. Hopefully NMSU can get below 70.

JK about Chicago, hoping they do better

NMSU at 130? I’ll believe it when I see it.

Jans has been very impressive thus far. I would like to think NMSU is a much better program than 130 this season. Also, Seattle is way too low at 272.

That article is a joke. Seattle lower than UMKC and CSUB? NMSU at 130? GCU ahead of NMSU by that much? Chicago State higher than 7 teams in the country (J/K)? The writer has no clue.

I can see their reasoning with CBU (352) and North Alabama (353) being the newbies. Will be interested to see where both teams end up at the end of the year. Let the games begin!

I live in WA, my son is now an asst at CBU and they're all very excited to get it going. Hoping to see some UW games also this year. Early on they have a nice match-up with Western Kentucky and NBA projected lottery pick Charles Bassey.

I think Croy already has the attention and respect of most knowledgeable WAC fans. From afar, it appears CBU has been recruiting well in anticipation of the move up. Lancers really should hit the ground running, and we should see them to bank a few D1 wins before they get to conference play.

It is actually funny to see a few familiar faces from GCU's early (and current) non-conference scheduling days on CBU's 2018-19 schedule, all of which I expect the Lancers will win:

Arkansas Pine Bluff (342)
Mississippi Valley State (319)
Southern (344)

There may few more games they can pick off (e.g. Oral Roberts; Little Rock; Southeastern LA) if the opponent underestimates CBU, which is completely within the realm of possibility.

Maybe I'm delusional, but I feel like CBU is gonna surprise people. I expect them to easily get 10 wins. I don't think 15 is out of the question. They just seem really well prepared for the move up.

I think CBU will have the opportunity to place 5th in the WAC and get to 13-16 wins this season. Croy has done it right with obtaining as much D1 talent as transfers and Aussie to join the program. I think Mike Henn will be a all WAC player sooner than later.

I think Cal Baptist is capable of finishing above Chicago State, UT Rio Grande Valley, and UM Kansas City but Croy would need to really out coach Irvin, Hill, and Richardson. Irvin is a mystery as a head coach but Hill's program has shown defensive deficiencies and Richardson's program hasn't shown offensive consistency.

Not to be an echo, but no way cbu will finish 352. Are they going to be counted in rpi, or whatever we’re cslling it now, this year?
