EDIT:
I'll also add recovering the fumble against #1 App State in OT in 2010. This ended App State's 26 game winning streak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1OU3u51MkE

Hell of a run and the stiff arm near the end. A shame he did not score.

For App State of course it’s blocking the kick at Michigan. But since everybody already knows that one, here’s the “Miracle on the Mountain”

App State leads 14-9 against Furman with almost no time left on the clock. The winner is likely gonna be conference champion.

At the beginning of this video Furman scores to take the lead 15-14...then they go for 2. And the rest is history.

UL Head Coach Billy Naiper at QB for the Paladins! A young Taylor Lamb was on the Furman sidelines too.
From what I have read Taylor Lamb cried over the lose, but as an older high school student remembered the App fans and the KBS experience and that helped sell him on App. That end zone was also the same end zone that James Madison fumbled at the end of the game in the 2007 playoff game, which, had they won, would have lessened our win at Michigan to start the season.

One of the most absurd no-calls in the history of officiating. Furman player jumps over the line and offsides isn't called.

Your link is the entire game. At which point is that no-call? I was just trying to see if any of those officials now call SBC games.

Check out 2:36:32 and run it from there.

None of the SoCon guys from that era are probably still running games. They were old then, in all seriousness.

They had a few young guys, but anyone that was in the SoCon beyond a single year rarely made it out. If they were decent, the ACC, Sun Belt, CUSA and SEC lined them up quickly.

I watched it but I wasn’t serious about if they were SBC refs. I was only intending on pointing out our officiating in this league is also terrible. 03-drunk

Trust me, watched SoCon refs from 1993-2013, the SBC refs are significantly better although they certainly aren't perfect.

Mod embedded the video and removed the time stamp.

2010 - "Number 1 Goes Down" vs. App State, GS force OT

Glad stAte could bookend your "craziest" plays. You're welcome.
Don't know if it's in the craziest plays category but Don Jones body slamming that poor Troy player is WWE quality crazy. And a personal favorite. See my signature.

You're only the last one.

You were in the title game in 86, not 85. That one was against Furman.

Oh sorry. I just saw Tracy Ham and assumed that was our butt kicking.

Armanti wrecking Richmond's defense to take App to their third consecutive championship game is worth watching.
