Congrats on the win FIU, but I don't think you can win the east.

That's fine, but to say FIU has no chance is silly.

The East division is down. Marshall and Middle are tenuous, but ok so far. I think La Tech, UNT, USM, and UAB are all playing better-than-average football.
No one reloads at QB. Some get lucky, but no one reloads.

However, I'll concede the West's bottom of UTEP, Rice, and UTSA is pretty bad.

I agree. There are multiple teams in the West that are playing well and have a legitimate shot at winning the division. It should make for a fun few weeks.

Did not expect MT to be in this position after FAU game ... but we will take it.

I can tell you UTSA is very very very young. Basically starting freshman & sophmores, as the season goes on they will get better with more experience. A lot of the young players are 3*'s & have played games against AZ St, Kansas St, Baylor, UTEP, & Texas St. I wouldn't be surprised if we get much better in the later part of the year, and carries over through the next 3 years with a change in QB to Sudden Saipan, who's a border line 4* and DT QB. He was signed to Syracuse but had to cut it because family issues.

Yes, very young but the talent is there. I'm starting to question Frank Wilson as a coach though. Hell of a recruiter but his coaching verdict is still out. If he's indeed good, this group should be really good the next two to three yrs but we'll see.

Not as silly as some of the other posts on here...so do you track all "sillies", or just the ones who disagree with?

Great...USM is young: True Frosh center....2 outta 3 RB's are a redshirted freshman and a true freshman...Top LB on defense is soph...QB is soph with 4 college football games under his belt. (and most were also 3*'s, which they give out like Cracker Jacks toys now)
So, a lot of us are "young"..

I think Fish tracks all "sillies" but only comment on the ones directly related to FIU. He could have mentioned the "silly"-ness to think teams that lost at home to Sunbelt teams that are 0-2 and 1-1 (a win over 1-3 Cajuns) in their conference as likely CUSA champs.

See, you just proved my point!
By the way, by "silly to believe they could be conference champs" , do you mean the one who has won 58% of their NCAA football games? Or the one who has won 33% (not much winning)? The one with 23 bowl games? Or the one with a whopping 3? You mean the one with 5 C-USA championships? Or the one with a whopping NONE? Need I go further?
No one at USM thinks we are "there" yet, but we don't get all uncontrollable when we win a couple of games. North Texas has an excellent team and will be a challenge on the road, while La Tech will be itching for revenge later this year at MM Roberts.
Ya see, we respect all, but fear none.

Yup, which is why some are starting to question the coaching and play calling.

none of the above. Silly as in, start of conference play , only ODU and the niners have played 2 conf games so far. Too early to say who is out.
