Do they think rebranding will help?

Looks like they are replacing their horrible mascot, with a mascot that doesn’t look like someone’s kid’s half assed school project.

They’re still going to be the Trojans. Just getting a new mascot costume is what it looks like.

We did really well replacing our longtime mascot with some kid's school project. It was the greatest few years in the history of our program. God Bless Red, he will never be forgotten.

I thought it was really cool that Nickelodeon allowed us to use Doug Funnie as a mascot.

So is this just a mascot revitalization? Or is Little Rock changing up their logos also?

My guess is that it's just a new mascot. The current one is horrible, so the new will probably be better. Schools with nicknames that are just people should have a mascot that is just a guy wearing different clothes. Sort of like the USC mascot. Obviously sans horse considering the lack of football.
