What did Auburn have, like a dozen tackles for loss? When we attempted passes 5 to 10 yards out, we had better success. The last drive, calling plays for passes behind the line of scrimmage, that was trash. It was way to clear their D was too quick for that to work.
I'm fine with them firing Dawson right now.

OC needs to be in the box where he can see the damn field breakdown and what's happening.
And I agree.. The screen pass and run up the middle need some slight variations and a lot less frequency.

Yeah he isn't very good. Unfortunately our schedule is chock full of horrible defenses that inevitably make it look like our offensive gameplans and play calling are competent.

Agree....we had 3 golden chances to possibly tie the game (thanks to our "D")....and we kept trying RB screen passes and WR screen passes that HADN'T WORKED FOR THE PREVIOUS 3 QUARTERS! When we went downfield, our fast WR's were always wide open.

I’m surprised we didn’t get our WRs injured with those plays. Auburn was teeing off on them.

RE: Dawson is GARAGE
Can't believe I'm doing this but here goes...
Hold on fellas..let's give the guy a chance. With a BALANCED OFFENSE, Dawson helped us put some stellar numbers last year.
Splitting time between two different QB's and having a solid one/two punch at running back.
With a shift in running back, we may be able to put together passing and rushing numbers that may meet or exceed last year. Moseley reminds me of a young Kendrick Hardy. If we could secure a legitimate change of pace guy, we may have something here.
No, Dawson is not going to give us the no huddle offense that Monken provided, but we are who we are..

I have no issue with slowing down the O.....that actually makes more sense with our current talent pool....
he didn't have a choice how to play call against AUB.....it was a gimme how that one went....
but the ULM game was a joke and Rice was below avg.....don't care about J-state....
we're stuck with him for the year.....so there's that....

He's had many chances. His vanilla play calling and gameplans work against the Rice's of the world, but anytime we play against a competent defense he doesn't make any necessary changes.

RE: Dawson is GARAGE
The strategy we saw against Auburn is the same strategy we saw against every other team this season.
