Finally, Vindication!!!!
Peyton Manning himself called Georgia-Tennessee “a great rivalry.” I feel vindicated now. 03-phew : 03-cloud9 02-13-banana

RE: Finally, Vindication!!!!
There was a moderator on another SEC message board that said there was no rivalry between Georgia & Tennessee. Peyton Manning’s statement proves him wrong!!!

Uhm, common sense proved him wrong.

To all who are on this board: the moderator I talked about isn’t even on this website. JR knows exactly who I’m referring to and JR and myself get along very well. Seriously, I wish more moderators were like JR, but everyone is different.

RE: Finally, Vindication!!!!
There is a long rivalry between Georgia and Tennessee. Georgia has a bunch of long-term rivals. That is far from saying they are currently "equals" and no one is being out-classed.
Georgia, being ranked #2 presently, has earned the right to boast some.

RE: Finally, Vindication!!!!
Even in recent years with my Vols not performing well (and I am starting to wonder if that trend is going to continue based on new recruiting situations and based on the overall SEC and college football situation. On the other hand, our basketball team has started to shine in recent years and I wonder if that is where the TN "soul" is headed), I think the Georgia game is the "best" rivalry out of the big three (Alabama, Florida, Georgia) for us.

Even in bad years, with granted exceptions, games have been close. I have alot of respect for Mark Richt.

Alabama is easy to hate, but as a younger TN fan (though I don't feel so young anymore), the Florida game is perhaps the one I want to win the most, but it is more angst filled than anything.
