56-14 is not close. Respectable maybe (especially against Alabama), but not close.

I’m pretty sure he was joking but then again I could be wrong.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he was joking.

Yeah, he was joking.

Yeah it was definitely meant in a joking manner

So...this thread is two pages long and only has one ULL poster. What’s up with that?

we could be on here saying Louisiana is the only team this year to outscore Alabama's 2nd team defense in the second half, or which other teams we scored more than, BUT when you lose by 42, even to the #1 team in the country, it just doesn't feel right to say anything.

Did the check clear??? You could talk about that. We pretty much took the same beat down, except ours was in conference and we didn’t get paid.....

This would be the same score if you were playing them and about 120 other FBS teams more than likely. This maybe the best AL team ever.

There weren't tons of positives, but we didn't get anyone injured and we had a 100 yard rusher which is pretty few and far between against Alabama. With another 15 yards, we would have had two 100 yard rushers.

4 years ago ULL fans hadn’t vanished into thin air, yet here we are now.

Sorry that Hud hated Boone so much that he laid an egg when he came up here and got fired.

I saw the highlights of this one during Clemson halftime. Mack Brown said that Louisiana (and he did call them that) couldn't beat Alabama's third string. Always getting respect from the "experts".

They kind of did though....

14-7 Cajuns in the 2nd half against Bama's 3rd string.

You'd have to think their coaching philosophy was different in the second half...

I would think it would have been against backups, but I don't see Nick Saban's coaching philosophy or expectation change no matter if it was his first or ninth team on the field. Would you?

We are less than a year into a massive rebuild of the football program. Our roster is depleted on Defense and at QB due to the sanctions and Hud's mismanagement of recruiting. We have FCS scholarship levels right now.

Napier is taking his time and doing this right by not filling up with JUCOS.
So, get your licks and your childish comments in now....while you still can.

This is absolutely correct. Napier took over with only 65 scholarship players. He was limited to only being able to sign 12 this past signing period. Next season we will be allowed to have the full 85 scholarship players and our committed class stacks up pretty darn good against all of the G5.

We desperately need help on defense. We are terrible on that side of the ball. We do have some bright spots, but just not enough to cover the glaring needs of LB and DB help needed.
