Devontae Cacock - NBC Sports First Team Preseason Mid-Major All American
Preseason Mid-Major All-Americans

F DEVONTAE CACOK, UNC Wilmington

As a junior Cacok was the nation’s leading rebounder, pulling down an average of 13.5 caroms per night while also scoring 17.7 points per game and shooting 58.5 percent from the field. The 6-foot-7 senior is a handful on both ends of the floor when it comes to rebounding, as his offensive (17.7) and defensive (32.0) rebounding percentages ranked second and third in the nation, respectively, according to Ken Pomeroy’s numbers.

RE: Devontae Cacock - NBC Sports First Team Preseason Mid-Major All American
Thank you for the link. The CAA has four players on the four teams, and that excludes Riller, who Blue Ribbon gave Player of the Year to. Cacok is on the First Team, Wright-Foreman and Knight are on the Second Team, Brantley is on the Third Team, and Pusica and Riller are Honorable Mentions. It wouldn't shock me for any of them to win Player of the Year. The 12 awards from 2005-2006 through 2016-2017 went to seniors or juniors who won it the next season as seniors. The last Player of the Year who was not Player of the Year as a senior was Alex Loughton in 2004-2005. As a senior in 2005-2006 he was on the Second Team.
