There a major production issues with Telsa cars and Musk used twitter to manipulate the stock price to destroy short sellers. I expect the company to be the next Enron when everything comes out.
Production has been cruising for several months now. Their new difficulty is they can't get them delivered fast enough because of the volume. The tesla dealership in Charlotte is overflowing with model 3s. They have them parked on curbs and the grass. Over 300 waiting to be picked up by customers.

Interested to see how this quarter shakes out though. Financials are a couple weeks away.

The profitability of those cars remains in doubt.

Tesla's books are still ugly.
German car manufacturers tore them down and said the model 3 cost about $28000 to build. Average ticket price ia over $50k. None of the $35000 models have been built and I doubt they ever will be. That's pretty solid margin of those numbers are accurate.

We will find out in a few weeks. If they arent showing positive signs after this quarter, I'll be far more skeptical of their long term viability.

I suspect Tesla is not efficient enough to manufacture them for 28K. Their manufacturing line is slow, inefficient, and lacks good quality control. Building lots of em cheap is Tesla's real problem---and it should be solvable since every other car manufacturer has found a way to do it....which means its a management issue.

Here's a link the summer describing the issues with telsa production/quality control. It should terrify everyone enough to run far away from investing in or buying anything from the company.

I dont think he is above the law. If he did what they said---fine him. The thing is, he's basically being charged with stock manipulation. The stock went up when he said that---but if he's trying to take it private---a rise in stock price is actually counter his best interests. That's not really stock manipulation. lol...Its more like saying dumb stuff.

To be clear---I could not care less. Dont own the stock and am not really a big fan of Tesla or Musk. I just think its a prosecutor trying to make a name for himself by over charging someone famous. That said, I will admit to being kinda impressed with the heavy lift rocket Musk's SpaceX is building.

You have to understand that the backdrop is important.

When you give that the importance it deserves in this analysis the gravity of the charges comes out fully.

Based on what facts? There's a waiting list at all the dealerships in the Capitol area. And last I heard, there's a wait list at the dealership in Boston as well.

Do you have access to the companies financial books? If not... your either repeating someone else's opinion or you're just making something up.

I'm not saying the company has a perfect financial report. But to claim that they can't be profitable and that the books are ugly when that information isn't public... sounds more like biased opinion than anything else.

1. So what? Waiting lines are irrelevant to profitability.

2. It's a public company. So, what do you think?

1) You have yet to state a single fact on which you are basing your claim of non-profitability.

2) It being a public company doesn't mean their entire financial records are public record. Yes, shareholders do get yearly get reports, but they don't have access to every line item of the company. Again, you have yet to state any facts or any reasons, for your 'claims'
The fact that you think it being a public company means their books are open for anyone to see, makes it seem like you have no idea how businesses actually work.

So I'm not going to waste my time having a conversation with someone who's just going to offer quips in reply and not offer any substantiated facts or evidence to back up their claims.

If you want the last word... go ahead and take it, I wont be responding to you about this anymore, since it's clear you aren't going to back up your claims.
