Who is in charge of scheduling these workouts? Steinberg? He is choosing the wrong teams and fit. Jax seems ok since BB is always inconsistent but SF should've been one of them.

Well, I guess our idea of rich is different. I consider a few million dollars to be rich.

1- It is not rich

2.- It is certainly not rich enough for a 23 year old to live the rest of his life off of it.

David Carr, Jeff George and countless other examples of very talented QBs that went to the wrong team and never reached their potential.

Maybe it is all Paxton's fault, maybe not. I don't know if there is any way we will ever honestly know, unless he lands at a team and has a solid career.

Paxton is a big factor in rise of our football program. For that, I will always be a fan. I believe he will be back in the NFL before all is said and done.

If you were making over a million per year when you were 23 and by 25 your prospects are $50,000-$60,000 per year and you had a nest egg of $2,400,000 you would not feel rich, not very long at least.

I hope that you are correct. I’d like to see him succeed. OTOH, remember that Keith Lee was an outstanding college basketball player who could not make it in the NBA.

Apparently pro ball is a huge step up from college ball.

If he has a halfway competent financial advisor guiding him it shouldn't be difficult for him to easily earn six figures/ year cash flow in either interest, dividends, rental property, etc. or any number of income-producing investments for the rest of his life on $9.467M, even on $5.69M assuming it was taxed at a 40% effective tax rate. Sure would rather stay in the league and earn millions/year for a career though, lol.04-cheers

‘rich’ is in the eye of the beholder...as long as I have healthy, my family, and my friends I consider myself rich no matter how man paper rectangles are in my banking account.

Keith Lee was 100% because of bad knees.

That is a very faulty statement, but still with a lot of truth. Heisman winners haven't been successful in the pros.

You forgot about his agent getting 4% of his pay so it would be a little closer to $5,000,000 and you are assuming he has a benefactor paying his expenses? I assume he spends $250,000 per year living AT LEAST, and if he does he is about to make a lifestyle change.

He is better off than 99.99% of 25 year olds that were not born wealthy, but he is not rich all things considered.

No doubt he's about to make a lifestyle change if he's spending $250k a year or more, lol. Hopefully he's now looking at his Broncos contract as a pot of capital to manage for the rest of his life, and NFL is no longer income.

I'm just assuming how I would manage it and maintain a middle class lifestyle I'm accustomed to (that's not $250k/year for me personally lol). He's only been in the league 2 seasons, so hopefully hasn't been spending like a millionaire yet. Even still, it's fairly simple to earn 6 figures in cash flow on that amount of capital if he only spends $1M over the 4-year contract ($250K/yr). Hopefully he's cut back on that, but assume that nets him around a $4M pot of capital. Even in today's historic record low-interest rate environment, 1-3 year bank CDs yield 2.5-3%.

A mere 2.5% yield on $4M capital is $100k, and rates are only going to go up from here. Hopefully his financial advisor can do far better than 2.5%, or he needs to find a new advisor, lol.

Not a bad life for a 2-year career, lol.

A couple of million conservatively invested to return at least 5% interest will pay out $100,000/year. I know plenty of people that could squeeze out a nice, comfortable life without touching the principle. You’re wrong on both counts.

I want Paxton to lynch onto an NFL team. Hell I want him here for the Express.

You are one comedic sob
