Between the posturing of the Florida acronyms, Clemson claiming their self worth, questionable laughable scores, and random Boise State interjections... I just want to thank everyone for a good read!
The good thing is that UCF and USF will settle it on the field. This has to be one of the most under the radar, fan-intense rivalries in college sports.
A rare time you will see a wolfpacker and tarheel agree on something.

Well, a highlight that involved Arkansas Tech, at least — the Wonderboys were down 17-7 and knocking on the door late in the fourth, only the Ouachita Baptist defender delivers a coast-to-coast game-clinching interception return as the PBP guy ... well, you kinda hafta listen to it to appreciate it.
Ugh! Thanks a lot. It was bad enough to see it the first time and then to endure it again on espn. They showed that clip to talk about the Ouachita Baptist PBP guy. That game was played at Cliff Harris Stadium, as in the 1970s Dallas Cowboys and OBU grad. And just for the record, we are the Wonder Boys (2 words).
It’s interesting for all the Arkansas Tech discussion on this board, they lead off ESPN’s College Football Final. Either espn reads this board or the Wonder Boys are spreading their awareness nationally.

Not the point of my post. Quo was saying that UCF hadn't done more than USF which simply isn't true. UCF has dominated all four of their opponents where as USF has squeaked by their 3 fbs opponents and looked okay against their FCS opponent.
LOL ... when you have to try to parse between the ugliness of FAU and Pitt vs Georgia Tech and Illinois, you've lost the plot.
UCF actually trailed FAU at the half, that's bad.
Bottom line is UCF has beaten 4 bad teams, so has USF, but UCF is #13 and we're not in the top 25. That's not on any kind of merit.
The problem both USF and UCF face in terms of national prospects is our schedules are really weak. There are no signature win opportunities for us. Terrible.
They were actually up 21-17, and ended up winning by 20 against one of the better teams in C-USA (Which I get doesn't mean much but I would contend that they are no worse than Illinois). I agree about the scheduling, both teams have played rather mediocre competition but while USF has been squeaking by said mediocre teams, UCF is winning all of its games convincingly. Margin of victory matters. Game control matters. The eye test matters.
Mighty FAU just lost to Middle Tennessee State.
But UCF beat them convincingly!
And they past the Eye Test by beating UConn by 40, even though Boise beat them by 50 and today Cincy beat them by 40 too?
And who else did they pass the Eye Test against? South Carolina State? LMAO!
Just wanted to chime in that we were up 21-17 at half against FAU since you seem so convinced that we were losing at halftime (you've mentioned it 3+ times now).

Well, I didn't mention it in the post you responded to, and other militant AAC/UCF fans have already pointed this amazingly important fact out before you, so next time read more carefully before chiming.

Really? Like what? Clemson just won a game against an undefeated team with what was really the 3rd string QB. What exactly has UCF done to justify their position? Beat up on a bunch of nobodies, like last year.
Please don't try to spin almost losing to Syracuse at home into a plus for their resume. I'm not saying that Clemson is bad but they are far from the #3 team in the country. As of right now, Stanford, OU, WVU, LSU, Auburn, and OSU all look like better teams. The ACC is extremely weak this year, if you threw UCF into it, they would be competing for the conference championship.
And who has Syracuse played...A MAC school, UConn, a FSU team that will be lucky to go bowling, and Wagner.
