I am disappointed we are not able to go. If you have some time, Yosemite is not too far away. It is a great national park. Enjoy! Go Rockets!

Hit the Doghouse grill on Shaw across from the university while you're in town. Tri-tip there is goooood.

Tight schedule for us. Friday we are going to the Giants game, Saturday Fresno, Sunday Raiders/Browns. Home Monday. We really only have Friday during the day to do sight seeing.

Fly to Oakland Friday night

Toledo game on Saturday

Browns game on Sunday

Fly back to Detroit Sunday night

Leave for Germany next Wednesday

I can’t go to Fresno. Yes I’m one of those guys that cannot get on an airplane. But I’m going to do my best to go to the rest of the games. T O L - E D O

Drove up from LA to Fresno in the 80’s...
TMC8 is correct, there is plenty of beautiful country east of the city in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Backpacked Kings Canyon (Sequoias) a few times when I was younger and in better shape.
Bulldog stadium is a nice (built into the terrain) kind of stadium, and Fresno fans really support their team. Hopefully the travel/time change won’t effect the Rockets much...

Samsies. But I'm skipping the Raiders game - not worth spending $100+ to watch 2 teams I don't care about. But I did check out an A's game there last year when I flew into Oakland for the Nevada game.

I'm heading out Thursday night, returning on a redeye Monday night. Cheap flight to/from Oakland.

We have quite the considerable alumni base out in Cali. I'd expect us to have a nice showing for a school all the way from Ohio. Have fun & safe travels to all the fellow posters making the trip.
