Tough news for the kid!

Feel sorry for the poor kid. At least it is not life threatening and hopefully he can continue to get his education.

While it is a different condition, this certainly hits just like the Walter Stewart news did. Nothing Mr. Larkin did wrong, and now he has to transition to a life without what is likely at this point his greatest love and at the time where he was just starting to shine. I have no doubt he will do great things, and while it's a tough time now, I'm sure he is thankful that they found this on a check-up and not while he is on a backboard.

Walter Stewart situation hurt more as he was a Bearcat. Hopefully NW will honor his scholly for the full four years, if not he can transfer to UC and save a lot of student loans or tuition payments.

I'm sure NW will honor it. He seems like a kid with his head on straight and hopefully will get a good education as a result.

That really sucks. I was rooting for him hard as a pseudo-Bearcat. He was on pace to be something really special at NW.

I'm glad he'll be able to continue academically.

The stenosis diagnosis is changing the trajectory for his life but he will have a full life.
Given the stenosis he's really lucky they found it before it became a life altering problem.

If they are smart, they take away the football scholarship to free it up for another player, and give him a non-athletic full ride. They can afford it there.
