RE: IMHO, we need a 3rd (or more) political parties in the U.S.
I can say with some certainty that if Kavanaugh is not confirmed I will probably withdraw myself from voting R ever again. This doesn't really have to do with Kavanaugh; hell, it’s really absurd that we give judges as much untrammeled authority as we do, since so many of them are idiots. It's just the duplicitous awful state of American politics.
The American political system was intended for citizen-legislators to briefly meet to handle problems, then resume their daily lives. What your Normal American sees, however, is hypocrisy, double standards, and a permanent, enriched and lying bureaucracy.
We have Senators demanding that Americans have to prove their innocence all the way back to high school. The burden of proof has shifted and if you're having to rebut a charge defensively (“Do you still rape women, Judge Kavanaugh?”), you’re losing.
My liberal friends and Spin Room posters never note anything about Trump is positive or that he may be close to them ideologically at times, so they won’t comment. President Trump fails to meet liberals’s expectations, again, right? Nothing like a strong economy to pull the country closer apart. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
But continue to tell me you love me, Democrats. I'll believe everything you say. No wait, scratch that: I will not support a political party that wants me removed from power simply because I am a white male. How will it ever be in my interest to vote for a party full of people who denigrate me because of actions, and also because of my race?
Conservatives are called Nazis. NAZIS! Read a damned history book and learn what real Nazis are. 6,000,000 Jews were murdered by the Nazis. That's what Nazis are, not people who disagree with your political philosophy. I'm not a "white nationalist" because I didn't immediately accept your hot-take political interpretations of the most recent police shooting or school demographic report as accurate and join you in moral outrage. But when the only card you’ve got is the race card, it’s natural to try to turn everything into a race issue I guess......
Democrats seem to win even when they lose and Republicans always lose even when they win. For instance it's literally impossible for the President to "abuse his power" when it comes to classification or hiring and firing - the President is the ultimate arbiter, and can declassify or fire any damn person or thing he wants. Yet, the President is the problem here? If only he had a pen, paper and a phone perhaps, like that other guy who was celebrated for doing so. Elections have consequences, remember?
The liberal media mocks all conservatives as alt-right (but all lefties as open-minded and clever) while depending on mockery and unsupported assertions of intellectual superiority and I am D. O. N. E. done with their BS.
The government is trying to re-draw milenia of science and customs regarding men and women in order to spare 0.01% of the population into feeling like they're "different." There are fundamental biological differences between men and women. Males and females respond differently to stress, environmental risk factors, drugs, and disease. I don't want to be forced to support a sketchy mutant with nose rings furry tails and a demand to be call Zer because her teen angst and daddy issues gets Instagram likes. And I hate having to constantly add addendum because everyone in the world has become so absolutely pussified that I end up offending someone by accident because I am unable to keep up with all the many hidden ways one can display their “white privilege” to liberals. Enough is enough, some people deserve to be offended. Perhaps the problem is how do you differentiate yourself from others now that almost everything is equal? You need new things to be outraged about, new ways of asserting your imagined moral superiority. It's all about competition - someone else is excited about something, so how fast can we shut that down? Don't mansplain to me to your answer.
Socialism, even after a century of failure, is still discussed as way forward. Socialism has always failed yet The Free Shite Army in this country is on the march with few signs of slowing down. However the other side of Free, free speech, is under siege and people are restrained from speaking unless the government and certain companies give prior approval. Identity politics is a toxic ideology that is tearing American society apart with social media as the problem. It only generates outrage and provides avenues for mobs to attack. All I want from Facebooks is to see pictures of kids and birthday parties, maybe to see how my wierd cousin is doing, I don't need a political screed about pink ***** hats and babies in cages from people that get their news from YouTube comments.
Today's arm bearing citizens are being blamed for school shootings and the DNC is calling armed citizens terrorists. But we know gun control isn’t really about safety, they want to install an irrational fear of firearms into voters so the government (often with armed bodyguards, natch) can protect voters via a militarized and sometimes violent law enforcement community. Well, come and take them, sweetheart. (BTW, you’re not “the resistance”. Better people than you or I earned that title the hard way often blindfolded and shot dead.)
This is the United States of America. We acknowledge our Constitutional right to the defense of our persons, property and liberty and the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. We know this right does not come without cost but we accept it. But big G Government has turned into intrusive bureaucracies and regulation and a one-party system run by a political class that holds in sneering contempt everything I believe in.
Did you see this coming? I sure didn't. Just kidding, I totally did.
But there are no political parties that reflect what I want = a free society where you have perfect right to say whatever you wants to say and if someone else don’t like it, they're free to ignore him. A party that supports the responsibility to protect one’s self, family, property and community. I don't want a federal government explaining how the world "really" works to us faceless masses out there in flyover country via executive orders and maybe as many as 50,000 laws on the books.
So considering my station in life not too many things the government does really, truly, impacts me (spare me the the response of all the things the government does that impacts me, I know what those are I stated many above) and it may just be easier for me to withdraw to my country estate, go out on the boat, drink some cocktails, tinker on the old Bimmer, love the fam, and enjoy watching sunsets.
