Guys, I'm not sure if we'll see Isaiah Spencer any more this year, since this was game 4. I work with as older cousin of his. So I watch very intently when he gets on the field. I love this kid. I think with his size and speed he has a great future. If he doesn't play anymore this year I am so looking forward to watching him develop in the next 4 years. He has so much athleticism.

Have they told him he was going to redshirt? I dont see how we sit him, hes on the foeld for a lot of snaps.

I know he played in games 1, 2 & 4. I did not see enough of the Charlotte game to know.

You can appear in 4 games and still redshirt.

Hes one of our starting TEs. You cant sit him.

I think LaLa has played in three games now. Surely he plays against ECU. If we beat the Pirates, keep playing him. If not, I'd be tempted to save him. Hoping Spencer didnt play against UNCC. We'll need him against ECU, and feel the same about him as Davis.

Pretty sure Davis just played the last 2. He's someone I can see redshirting if Cox can get/stay healthy and Strong comes back. But, a key starter? Not in a million years (in my book)

My uneducated guess is that the result of the ECU game will make a big difference in who gets the redshirts. If ODU wins, they're 2-3 with a winning streak, and a bowl and good finish in CUSA isn't out of the question. If they lose, they're 1-4, and at that point you probably start thinking more in terms of next year, which means guys like LaLa are more likely to take a redshirt to preserve their eligibility.

I'm just glad it is not a G5 deciding to transfer to a P5. That rule is clearly going to affect all programs.

Spencer needs to play! Huge target for LaRussa. We need all the receivers we have now.
