spend some time reading the WM football board -seems they all are a bit gun shy to call a spade a spade over there.... seems big brother must always be lurking with the apologists finding ways to make excuses for their programs demise, and pounce on the critical thinkers.

Banning

If you see no expiration time in your banned message your ban is permanent.
- Appeals may be made to support@csnnation.com however all bans are considered enforced unless explicitly overturned by site moderators and/or administrators.
- Continued attempts to circumvent bans by the use of proxies, VPNs, public internet access locations, ISP IP changes, and other third party access can result in legal action by the site against you and/or notification to your employer of your activities on the site if we suspect you to be in breach of your employer's internal IT policies.


General Rules

- If you are fan visiting other areas of CSNbbs... objective/factual/discussion based posts that are on topic are always welcome. However, be careful when you start smack talking etc. It is to be expected that mods will have visiting fans on a shorter leash when it comes to visiting fans causing trouble.
- In general, the content rating for CSNbbs is at or very close to PG-13. So, don't blame CSNbbs if you let your young one on the boards and they pick up a special new word at the age of 10.
- Bypassing the profanity filter, though a light offense, is unacceptable. This means, specifically, that you modified a word filtered so it would be filtered no longer. To keep it simple -- if it's filtered, leave it filtered. If it isn't filtered, you're in the clear.
- Any personal attack on other posters, school administration, and/or student athletes is subject to immediate removal without notice at the discretion of mods and admins.
- Babe Of The Day (BOTD) posts cannot contain any nudity. This includes but is not limited to: pubic hair, genitals, nipples, or mesh/"see-through" clothing that shows any of the preceeding.
- All tickets advertised MUST BE AT FACE VALUE OR LESS. SCALPING IS UNACCEPTABLE.
- You remain responsible for the content of your posts. CSNbbs is not liable for illegal or otherwise illicit material in your posts. You agree to hold CSNbbs unaccountable for all posts you make.
- Questions about edited or deleted posts should be voiced in private to the mod/admin that did it. If you don't know who... e-mail support@csnnation.com
- Using these boards is a privilege, not a right. All CSNbbs admins reserve the right to ban/disable your account for any period of time without notice, advanced warning, or reason.

Pretty outrageous that Tribal would stoop so low and not come here and offer us an explanation, himself. I’ve seen him over here before and he is surely aware of our concern. What a coward. If I’m suddenly banned for saying so, you all will know what happened.

I disagree with plenty of people on the boards — even my fellow Dukes — but I’ve never thought for a second that someone who disagrees with me should be forcefully silenced. Wow.

That policy leaves a lot to the discretion and common sense of the moderators.

Tribal seems to have lashed out based on raw emotions, over what appears to have been a minor disagreement on our use of transfers. A very immature response, and completely inappropriate unless there is a lot more to the story.

Is there a way we can remove Tribal from our board's list of moderators? We shouldn't have to be looking over our shoulders worried about who upsets him next.

Unless there are posts that were taken down( and believe me, if there were- we WILL see exactly what they were), then Tribal is being a big baby. And I agree w/ everyone else- no reason, given the circumstances, that he should be moderating OUR board.

Let me harvest some straw men and offer some thoughts:

- Tribal is listed as a mod here because all the CAA mods are assigned to all the CAA boards so they can moderate the CAA Conference Talk board and the unactive boards should they need to. Mods don't moderate off their respective boards unless asked to with the sole exception of admins and some supermods which have legit sitewide power and authority. So just stahhhhhhp with the tin foil business on that.

- I'm taking a look into it, but for now I've changed Duke Dawg's ban to be a forum ban on the W&M forum. It's customary to give forum bans before sitewide bans. But all of our CAA mods here are new and have probably collectively banned fewer than 3 people. So it's not a process they're familiar with yet.

- Typically threads like this would get locked immediately because it does nothing but cause rampant speculation without any facts in hand. I'll leave this one open for now because this is probably the first time moderation has been an issue on any of the CAA boards. If it descends into Alex Jones talking about inter-dimensional child molesters though, I'm gonna lock it down.

He needs his mod privileges revoked, you can’t ban people cause you are mad your team got trounced.

Pretty massive overreaction on his part and frankly would be a joke if he is not the one reprimanded and lose his ability to moderate in that way.

I would lose all respect for GTS and these boards if that is how things are going to be run.

Many of us know you well. You would be the last person I would expect to see banned from a message board.

I hope GT gives Tribal a good talking to and if Tribal is any kind of man he will offer a public apology on these boards. We all can overreact from time to time but doing so and not apologizing is a character flaw.

We'll have no lynch mobs around here. Being a mod is a thankless job and you should know. Last I checked all mods are human. Pouring more salt into the well only makes the water more undrinkable.

I'll follow up with things privately -- where this matter should be handled from here on out.

I don't post here often enough to know the "personalities" of the posters, But I will say (without reading the offending posts, which I believe were harmless enough) that it never, not once, ever, occurred to me to go the W&M site after our lopsided win. Why? We were supposed to cream them. We did. Leave it alone.

Now, if we give the ticks a similar slamdown, fire away...
