True story: I got banned from The Hive for posting a list of 20+ candidates to replace Chan Gailey in an existing thread that basically was "who would you get to replace him???" with the implication being nothing better was available.

The next day Chan Gailey got canned.

The Hive is the exact opposite for what I strive for in a message board. The Hive should frequently be sponsored by Xanax and Kool Aid and come with propaganda postings instead of threads. Especially when the GTAA is under duress (typically well earned) from the fans.

Just joshing with ya. Hope you knew that. Thanks for reinstating Duke Dawg. I've never seen anything he's done here (or certainly on the W&M board) that's worthy of being reprimanded or banned. Actually after false imprisonment there is often a huge cash settlement. But in this case a large framed photo of JMU's 2004 playoff victory over W & M in the semis would be kind of nice. It could be given at a pregame tailgate by their former coach. (If you have been reading the W & M thread, you'll know how significant that would be.)

Ok Ok let's forget about all this stuff, because it's Richmond week.

Normally, I would agree.

But since I got no “warning”, not that what I posted even warranted that, and since tribal has been silent since, both toward myself and the repeated calls on this board, I thought it best to address it here.

It’s all good. The point has been made by me, and that is that mods should be careful not to abuse their “power”.

AGREED - GTS - that's one lame excuse for piss poor behavior by a butthurt Mod. He should, at the very least, have to publicly apologize!

Hello all, I realize there are a lot of people upset with Tribal and for his sitewide ban of DukeDawg. Even myself was quite baffled by it and was wondering what was going on. I am glad that GTS was able to fix the problem and was able to lift the ban. For me personally, I would never issue a sitewide ban because I am not a supermod and second, I am only a JMU board mod. Even other CAA boards, I would not moderate unless asked by that mod. To be fair to Tribal, he does have the right to ban a user from the Tribe board, so I do not fault him for doing his job there. Though a sitewide ban was a bit too much.

It is completely okay to discuss your disagreements, etc that you have with a mod, but be very respectful and understand also. While Tribal was wrong for the sitewide ban, give him grace as he may have done the sitewide ban accidentally and only meant to ban from the Tribe board only.

DukeDawg welcome back, sorry that you went through the ban, hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Nothing I said was even remotely worthy of a ban, on any site. You can see my posts on that thread. Not inflammatory at all. Certainly compared to many posts on all the boards here.

In fact, you can easily come to the conclusion that tribals own posts were more inflammatory in that thread.
