A big part of me is starting to think this is a hail Mary if the Senate Flips. They knew they had the dirt on this creep. The Senate won't have time to confirm another SCOTUS nominee in the Senate. The McConnell rule with Garland. How could they confirm another judge in a lame duck session?

Your wording seemed odd vs the email. Highly dubious though since if the judge and Kananaugh had been organizing and running rape parties that a bunch of people would have come forward a long time ago. He's been a judge for a very long time. Why now during the 11th hour? Why not when he was appointed to a still prominent role many years ago when all of these allegations would have been a lot more fresh in everyone's minds???
