Ha! We have only played a quarter of the season. North Texas fans know it is far from settled. But, if you want to talk basketball... you have North Texas too low in your rankings. UNT is stacked this season. I'd place us 4th or 5th until we see some games.

I’ve seen several outlets have UNT between 3-5. I think UNT will end the season at 4 if we grow this season like we did last season. We turned over our roster big time last year with 8 new players. A brand new starting 5 takes time to gel. I think this is what seeding will look like going into the conference championship

We are cooked man. The fanbase just quit. Players are starting srguments with fans, and the wheels have come off. I look for us to finish 7-4 or 6-5, and sneak into some garbage bowl. October 18th. Hilltopper Hysteria. I want to at least see our team in person before I make any predictions. I could see Marshall winning because there is no substitute for experience. But if WKU comes together I could see us winning on some shock and awe type talent. Quickness beats size... but we have both. I watched all three of Marshall's games from the Bahamas and I think they will have a lot of trouble with us in the paint.

I agree that UNT is too low. I think the experience they gained from the CBI will be a big boost to them. I definitely think that they are threat for a bye.

We are finishing in the top half this season.

Also, I know it’s sounds like a lot of UNT fans are bragging (myself included), but we’re just really happy right now. In football we were the WORST team in the country 3 years ago. We got blown out by FCS Portland State 66-7 at our homecoming. Now we beat an SEC team and we have our best record since 1959. In basketball we struggled to win 10 games a season, now last season we won 20 games and won the CBI. If I ever come off as braggy it’s just because I’m in shock that we are no longer a flaming pile of dog **** at sports.

North Texas is definitely on the upswing which you should be...YOu guys have a lot or resources others in this conference do not....

Agreed. I am done with Marshall football until Doc is gone. Dropping BG and season tickets. Will divert all money to Tip Off club.

USM will have a very good basketball team. Jmo

USM is going to surprise a lot of teams this year. Hell, we surprised MTSU when we beat them in the conf. tourney.

Hey, with most all of your team returning and having a shooter like Elmore Marshall could win any or all of our games, especially up there.
