Betting Lines Heading Into Week 5
ODU @ ECU: ODU +6.5
Rice @ Wake Forest: Rice +25.5
Southern Miss @ Auburn: USM +28
UTEP @ UTSA: UTSA -10.5
FAU @ MTSU: FAU -4.0
Charlotte @ UAB: UAB -16.0
Arkansas Pine-Bluff @ FIU: No Line Yet
LA Tech @ UNT: UNT -7.0
Marshall @ WKU: Marshall -7.5
My Initial Impressions:
Can ODU repeat their miracle of last week? I think ODU can cover and win this one.
I think Rice can cover @ 25.5 points, but will we get the UH game Rice or the Southern Miss game Rice?
Auburn is very good. Auburn covers.
FAU @ MTSU line seems a little low to me. FAU has been inconsistent though so who really knows what will happen?
UAB will ANNIHILATE Charlotte by at least 3 TDs
Pillow fight of the week in UTEP @ UTSA.
FIU will get a good tune up against an FCS opponent.
UNT line seems low. I figured UNT would be favored by around 12
Marshall line seems low too. Figured Marshall would also be about a 10 point favorite.
What are your thoughts on these betting lines?

To be clear, ECU opened as 6.5 favorites. As of this writing the line has moved to 5.5. I guess the national attention for our win shows in vegas. We don't want to just cover, we want to win!

If ODU wins on the road this week vs. East Carolina, I will be extremely impressed...I know East Carolina sucks, but last week was such an emotional victory, hard to come back a week later after that...

Interesting factoid. The home team has never won in the series between UTSA/UTEP. I would take Rice to cover. That spread is way too high. Watch out UNT, La Tech is one of the hurdles you need to get over before you are crowned.

I think -7 sounds about right. LA Tech is good and might be the best team we face all year. It'll be a close game. I'm just thankful this one is at home.

I'm really enjoying the confidence these North Texas fans have this season, gonna make the Tech victory that much sweeter 03-nerner. But in all seriousness this is gonna be a very interesting game where it could end up a blowout for either team. I will go out on a limb and say there won't be much defense played and I expect a few turnovers to swing the game towards the victor's favor.

Hey, I thought my post was pretty reasonable.
