Week 5 AP Poll
https://collegefootball.ap.org/poll

Duke, Kentucky finally ranked. North Texas at 38th is ridiculous but otherwise it’s fine.

RE: Week 5 AP Poll
Was Boise State number 25 last week, and this week they are not when they had a bye? Several P5 schools are over ranked.

Oklahoma, Auburn, Mississippi State, Oregon (moved up 1 spot after losing), and so forth, We need new people to vote for the AP, and get more G5 schools inside the top 25, and get rid of the weaker P5 schools.

I’m with the voters on this. Boise shouldn’t have been ranked last week, and certainly not this week after the Red Raiders smoked the Pokes at home. Boise should trade its 27-slot with the Mean Green’s 38-slot.

I’d also like to see the 2 Upstate NY teams higher. For one, VT (#28) and Syracuse (#36) should swap.

Apparently the AP voters see no merits in USF or Cincinnati's undefeated seasons either.

North Texas seems fairly ranked. Much like Cincinnati, they haven't played anyone yet.

Arkansas doesn't count. They'r 0-3 vs FBS, including a loss to Colorado State. Colorado State just got blown out by a D1AA team (Illinois State).

UCF at #13. USF undefeated. Cincinnati undefeated. And we not only get those two teams at the end of our regular season, we get probably one of Memphis (again) or Houston in the West division.

UB got 6 votes!

If they beat Army next week (Buffalo currently 7 point favorites) then they'll be really close to getting into the top 25. That's no easy task though.

Give the voters time. Soon they will have Cincinnati overranked as they work their way through their bum of the week schedule.

SMU just beat Navy, so I don't think they are as bad as some believe. North Texas shut out the ponies and held them to 33 total yards, through 3 quarters. Arkansas was in a dog fight with Colorado State. The Pigs never really landed a punch on UNT. The Hogs only scored 10 points through 3 quarters. In fact, we embarrassed them. And, Liberty beat an ODU team that just upset former #13 Virginia Tech. Last night in a monsoon filled with torrential rain, high winds, and weather delays, the Mean Green ran Liberty out of their stadium using a rushing attack many believed didn't exist. It isn't that North Texas hasn't played anyone. It is the fact that no one has been able to play with North Texas, and it hasn't been close.

Not saying we should be any higher in the vote count. Just saying all of our wins count. Especially when you look at how easily North Texas won all of their games.

RE: Week 5 AP Poll
So Oklahoma only moves down 1 spot despite eaking out a "win" vs Army in OT? It was a spread loss of 22 points as well.

And why does the AP treat regulation wins and OT wins the same? Obviously it took one more time than another opponent to win. Plus, CFB OT is basically a coin flip not real football.

Duke and Kentucky are ranked in football, but Virginia Tech and Texas A&M are not. Let that sink in for a minute.

It's good to see Kentucky get the credit they deserve.

Why should they fall more when everyone below them has been pretty unimpressive? LSU has a couple of quality wins, but wasn't impressive last week. Stanford should have lost. UW has a loss. Auburn has a loss.

You have to look at who else is there.

But Virginia Tech at 28 isn't ridiculous?
