usm has a lost to ulm
uab has a loss to an fcs

a 2 loss champ would jump them easy

if we are honest its the aac group, unt, buffalo. utah state, sdsu, & boise...the rest needs the aac/mwc people to have 2 losses.buffalo to have 1....unt schedule is so bad they are in the bottom tier of this group but others still need a loss

the rest dont have the schedule to overtake that group without losses

It's hard to say, digging into schedules is required to count all of the 1 loss teams out. App State has a great loss. Toledo's loss is to Miami and if they win the Coastal that isn't a bad loss. Toledo also plays Fresno State this week so if they knock off "could be" MWC Champs that is huge. Throw in the fact that Buffalo could be undefeated going into Toledo, a top25 win could happen there as well. I bet lots of teams have scenarios where wins "could" get better as the season progresses. It's obviously UCF's to lose.

im not counting them out because of the "good loss" but the lack of good future games to jump anyone

i think toldeo is better than utah state & sdsu but if they are both 1 loss sdsu and utah state are going to picked over toledo
(utah state still has top 25 byu. sdsu already beat asu & has boise)

and fresno state isnt favored to win the mwc or even its division...but yes if they do win the mwc, toledo is back in it....but my point was that, its not really in your control anymore ...you can control beating fresno but what fresno does beyond that is beyond your control

all the team i listed above, if they win out will likely be in the ny6 (without needing miracle upsets).. unt being the exception (no clue how the cfp will see their schedule)

Fair, but the teams I have up there are eliminated yet. That's the point of the countdown. Just as some P5 teams are still technically in the hunt for the playoffs like Duke, even though they have no real shot.
