RE: Game 5: Dukes at Bridgeforth East
I rewatched satchmo's youtube video from earlier in the preseason. he sounded so hopeful. I don't think he saw a 2-2 start coming into this game.

It's also hilarious over the years how he'd try to downplay our success as just some dumb luck bound to run out. Now he's just like, "yep... they're pretty good. Sorry spatter fans".

RE: Game 5: Dukes at Bridgeforth East
Last time the Good Guys traveled to BFS-East, we gave up 43 pts in a shootout victory that spurred this team towards a national title. I reference that game often as the last time our defense was torched.

The Dukes have given up the following scores in the 25 games since...

7, 14, 22, 7, 17, 14...(2017) 14, 10, 14, 10, 10, 8, 14, 0, 3, 13, 3, 7, 28, 16, 17...(2018) 24, 0, 7, and 0

Since giving up 43, we've given up more than 30 none and 20+ in 3 games...1 of those was a TD with less than 30 seconds left to UNH in the first round of the '16 playoffs against our backups.

Over those 25 games since our last trip to Bitchmond, we are averaging giving up 11.2 ppg. Without doing the math/research, I'd guess our 1st team D is averaging giving up no more than 7 ppg over those 25 games as well.

Trott is worth everything we're paying him and then some.

Absolutely. The hilarious part was when Richmond fans were giving us crap for hiring Trott and they thought they were better off without him.
Shows how little they know about football.

The longest single run against JMU all season was the W&M fake punt.

Long Rush 27 Tyler Crist, vs William & Mary (Sep 22, 2018)

rewatched it as well - admittedly only made it through the first 2.5 minutes, he's so dry and repetitive. He hit on his interior brick wall every time he refers to the "brick house" aka BFS East, the second time he almost knocked his floor lamp over and I shut the video off... give it up satchmo, Dukes gonna knock over the lamp and bust the lights out of the breadbox!

U6 and U8 have been big jmu tailgate lots that last few games

Paid lots or just first come?

I’m surprisingly “available” this weekend after thinking I had to pass for nearly a year.

Thinking I might just go, tailgate, see if I can score some tic tickets while mooching their Urquells and Kronenbourgs...

Anyone got a couple they wanna unload for a rooter?

Dunk, if you need 2 I can set you up. I bought many in the Richmond section just for this reason. I think I have 2 left

I'm hoping come January 6, 2019, that is STILL the longest rush against our guys.

RE: Game 5: Dukes at Bridgeforth East
Richmond is having a difficult time replacing Lauletta (which probably wasn't possible anyway). KJ is talented, but he can't make up for a non-existent run game. JMU's D line is not only punishing, but deep. UR has talented receivers, but it's hard to be accurate when JMU is in your backfield on every play.

Stony Brook has a two-headed running back corps that had their way with Richmond. I'd have to think that JMU's unit is a notch better.

JMU has been prone to turning the ball over like we haven't seen before. JMU needs to clean that up, or Richmond might be able to stay in this and gain confidence as the game wears on. On the otherhand, JMU has a lot of room for error.

It's looking like Richmond and W&M are the 11th and 12th place teams in the league, so...

My prediction is 49-3.

38-10. Richmond gets a TD early on some kind of gimmick play and then doesn't do much the rest of the game. We will score at least one non-offensive TD.

I think Richmond is a little better than some people are giving them credit for.

But they aren’t at our level. We should still win this rather comfortably, but not nearly as easily as against the tribe.

Jmu 38
Richmond 13
