We will see where the Rockets and Bulls actually stand when Toledo goes to Fresno State and Buffalo gets Army next weekend. 7-0 UB @ 5-1 Toledo would be a gameday candidate.

How long has Toledo been FBS??

Toledo has been an Div.1 FBS program as long as Ohio State...

No disrespect but why have y'all not invested in yall's football stadium, capacity improvement, I men... And become a expansion target for the AAC for example??

If and when there is another shakedown in expansion and Toledo was in the mix for a call up, you can bet that our AD and the powers that be would be on top of it. Our 26,000 seat Glass Bowl was designed to expand to 52,000 easily, but I think that a new south end zone upper deck getting us to 34-36,000 would be a realistic scenario...

Because 20,000 on a cold November Wednesday looks better in a stadium that holds 26,000 than 40,000.
Toledo is 45 minutes from Michigan, and 2 hours from Ohio State and Notre Dame. Lots of our fans like lots of other teams as well. Having actual fans is tough up here. We still represent the MAC better than just about everyone else though and for that....04-cheers

The UMass stance: We're not going to invest unless we get an invite first.

Definitely the wrong approach... Not going to be cheap I know but basketball along with baseball facilities have to be in the mix, IMHO.

Southern Miss comes to mind when I think of above said approach.

[attachment=9598] 45 million $$$ invested in Savage Arena and IPF (left corner)in the last ten years.... Also about $ 6,000,000 in upgrades into GB recently...

In Houston once a Cougar Red always a Cougar Red... But here the WHO CARES programs near us... Hehe

Rice - 20 minutes on a good day and 1 hour on a bad day. lol
A&m - 2 hours
UT - 3 1/2 hours
Utsa - 3 1/2 hours
SMU - 5 hours
TCU - 5 hours
UTEP. - 12 hours
Tech - 8 hours
Baylor - 4 hours

A winning product and constant bowl appearances should win back lost fans. 04-cheers
