That would have some minuscule positive effect for AAC champ over Boise/mwc come NY6 bowl bid time.

28-0 Coogs, second quarter.

Coogs have used four or five running backs already. TSU just fumbled the kickoff. Cougar ball at the 20.

Only excitement now is will the Coogs beat the 54.5 point spread. Up 63-7, Coogs couldn't get it done in the red zone. Tigers came back with a 95 yard TD on third down, making it 63-14. Need another TD to beat the spread.

Welp this game is over! Clearly our inability to score 80 points means we suck!

A lot of freshman getting a lot of time, productive time, tonight.

QB Clayton Tune with 186 yds, 2TD in the second half.

RB Kelan Walker with 105 yds and a TD rushing.

Five freshman WR combined for about 10 catches for nearly 200 yds.

Dude. It was FCS TSU. This is why I don't like playing FCS teams. We had to pay TSU back for letting us use their basketball stadium so I understand but I don't like scrimmages in the middle of the year.

This game was great for building some depth on the team. Getting some guys experience that they otherwise wouldn't have. Hopefully they found some db depth (although I didn't see it). Myres was still on the field in the 4th Q.

I wish we would go back to playing an fcs school occasionally. Its great for gauging your team.

RE: ***Official Texas Southern vs Coogs Game Thread***
In the end, we learned very little from this game. We learned more about our team watching Bowman dissect Okie State’s defense, than watching our defense against TSU. This was a chance to get some game experience for the 2’s and 3’s. What the Tech game showed us is we need more depth to support our quick strike offense. Hopefully, this was one step towards that goal.
