The Bible of preseason college basketball magazines is giving the Herd some love-fwiw. Has MU ranked top 25(25th), winning CUSA and Elmore on cover. Great stuff.

RE: Streets and Smith MUBB
I’ve seen some other sources also making the argument for WKU to be a Top 25 team this year...

Hopefully both schools are able to get the job done OoC and we can basically have two Top 25 teams this year. Will also be interesting that with the new pod scheduling and that Marshall-WKU are the designated travel partners, the teams could play 4 times this year.

John Ronstein tweeted out a lot of coaches feel like WKU and UCF are both preseason Top 25 teams, we could met UCF in tournament in Mrytle Beach....Marshall will be good no doubt, just not sure what you guys do without Peneva, he put your team on a different level....

This team will play different in a lot of ways from last year. Not only the conference but I feel the nation will know the name Taevion Kinsey before this season is over. I haven't seen a freak of an athlete like him since Randy Moss was on campus. Although I doubt we ever see someone play football, run track and play baseball again. Randy has always said if there was enough time he would have played basketball at Marshall too.

Kinsey With The Windmill Dunk

Also never thought Id ever see someone break Randy's vertical of 43 inches at Marshall but Kinsey done it with ease at 44 1/2 inches.

My guess on the starting 5 after a few games:

SF Jannson Williams
PG/SG Jarrod West
PG/SG Jon Elmore
SG CJ Burks
SG Taevion Kinsey

Bench
SG Rondale Watson
SG DeAndra Murphy
SG Darius George
SG Jeremey Dillion
SG Luke Thomas
SF Christian Theineman
SF Ante Sustic
SF Camron Brooks-Harris
PF/SF Mikel Beyers
C Iran Bennett

Walk ons are DeAndra Murphy and Luke Thomas. Murphy isn't your avg walk on though he avged 26 points and 12 rebounds in his HS career, if he does well I could see him ending up like Austin Loop.
