RE: Florida State Predictions
Certainly not a lot of trash talk or predictions of a blowout.

Looks like fans of both teams are very frustrated with the lousy offenses and are expecting a pillow fight.

RE: Florida State Predictions
I certainly would not want to make any prediction. I really have no idea how this is going to go. I have seen FSU play in each game and look really bad. Watched the NIU-Utah game and was not sure what to think of NIU since the defense played great but offense could not score. These teams are mirrors of each other. Tough to make a prediction.

FSU definitely has better recruits but that seems to be a non-starter since we cant score and any team with a pulse on defense will shut us down.

Can I make a prediction after halftime?

Why not? Actually I am not sure that will help you or us. I have a feeling it will be very low score at halftime and would not be shocked to see 0-0 or 3-0. It is in the second half when our D gets worn down from all the 3 and outs that we have given up points. What will be significant at half time (in addition to the score) is time of possession; if FSU TOP lead is substantial is when I will be concerned we will see our D getting gassed in the 3rd and more so the 4th quarter.

Basically a reply of the Iowa game.

Is there a remote chance we throw in some new wrinkles in the offense to keep FSU guessing? Like Using Hall in a wildcat?

With some hard core FSU fans tonight. I hope the team is as defeated as they are. The expectation is we will win. Kind of surreal

I am a hard core fan and big booster... I dont have any expectation of winning. I am very neutral which is a surreal feeling compared to what I thought when the season was about to start.

Get down to College Town!

RE: Florida State Predictions
Even if FSU is down, the speed of their defense is going to be way way way way too much for a conservative, tentative offense to deal with. When NIU has the ball, it gonna be ugly.

Maybe Carey's "three and out" strategy may finally work.

I sure would and it sounds you would also. Let's face it, we usually go 3 and out so what would it hurt? Your question is the answer; yes there a remote chance - emphasis on remote!

Thanks for your posts this week; very good and classy. That would be surreal; one of the best football programs in modern day college football and you are not expecting a W against a MAC team. Here is to a good and injury free game tomorrow!

It’s going to be a boring game but I like our chances. I think we sneak out of there with a W and Sutton shows the big stage he can still produce. Defense has a pick 6.

I see it close at half but FSU's physicality will show in the second half and pull away.
NIU's offense has to do something, anything, to keep the ball for awhile to give the D a rest.
