Bigger comeback?
When was the last time UC came back from down 21?

Last I remember was the Greatest game in UC history. 2009 at Pitt down 21 then Marty Gilyard started the comeback that was culminated by Pike to Binns for BE Title and the Sugar Bowl.

Then that rat Kelly started his lies.

THat's the biggest comeback I can think of.
Wasn't it an Armon Binns over the shoulder catch to win it?

The 2018 team made their comeback today in front of the 2008 team.

RE: Bigger comeback?
Was the Belk Bowl against Duke ever that big of a differential? I know it was a pretty big comeback, but wasn't sure how much so.

16-3 was the largest the deficit was at the Belk Bowl.

We were down 0 to 16 in the first quarter of that Belk Bowl before we started rallying, and got a FG to end the first quarter. Today, we were down 0 to 21 in the second quarter before we started rallying... so today, we overcame a greater deficit and in less time than the Belk Bowl.

Today the 2008 Orange Bowl team attended. A commemorative poster was available. Mardy was a big part of that team. When we were down big I thought of his long KO return to ignite the comeback.

Today’s game was one of the most exciting sporting events I have ever attended.

Lots of stupid penalties made this game tough.

Agreed - great game for the Good Guys!

Question on penalties, but why is the “Superman” TD celebration a personal foul?!? Can someone please explain that one for me?

I don't think it is. The refs were flag happy. I have seen it confused with a throat slash, which is considered excessive. UC won despite bad reffing. It seemed to even out in the second half but the first was tough to watch. The TV announcers did all they could to not criticise the penalty calls.

No idea. He was doing it against Ucla on every single touchdown and they didn't throw a single flag.

RE: Bigger comeback?
The officials for yesterdays game were MAC officials.
There were some very timely and inexplicable penalties that aided OU by continuing stalled drives.

Even the TV announcers commented on the multiple penalties for roughing the passer by saying "You're allowed to tackle the QB.Æ

RE: Bigger comeback?
This one wasn't a come back, but the one I remember that was exciting was the 2007 game against WVU. We were down 28-10 with 11:43 left in the fourth quarter. Most of the crowd was on the way out.

A pass from Ben Mauk to Marcus Barnett at the 7:14 pulled us within two scores of WVU. With 2:26 left in the game, Bradley Glatthaar scored a TD on a one yard run to make it 28-23. The two point conversion failed and sadly that was the score at the end of the game.

Personally, I was glad I didn't leave and saw the fight in the team right up to the final second. I feel this year's team has that same fight and aggressiveness and I look forward to them being competitive in every game we play this year.
