OT - We're getting half of a lamb
Any recommendations on good lamb recipes? I'm not unfamiliar with cooking lamb, though I've only used the leg of lamb for a butterflied roast that I've put on the grill or cut up to make lamb kebabs (chunks of meat - not ground meat on a stick). Guessing we're looking at 30 - 40 lbs of meat in total and assuming an assortment of legs, rib chops, a steak or 2 and ground lamb.

Any good lamb recipes would be appreciated!

I don’t have any specific recipes but usually anything with white wine, garlic, mint, mustard, or just olive oil and salt and pepper.

Please post pictures, also if you want to post your address I will show up unannounced

Find a good Greek cookbook.

Low and slow is the way to go with lamb.

You will probably only get two legs (1/2 duh).

Mediterranean spices will go well as a rub, but shy away from the Italian spices and focus on the greek spices instead. Less oregano, more dill, marjoram, etc.

You'll be shocked how easily lamb dries out. Turn and baste constantly. You pretty much have to stand over it.

I like it grilled, and simple: olive oil, salt, pepper and a touch of honey (yes, honey). Serve it hot over rice.
