It's fun that he's making Arkansas fans mad, I guess. But that's kind of all there is to it and all there is to the Clay Travis brand of trolling. It's not a compliment to Arkansas State, not really. If Ole Miss or Mississippi State were as inept, he might make the same joke about Southern Miss. Again, it wouldn't be as much about complimenting USM as it would be to make fun of Ole Miss or MSU.

He is a very intelligent guy that has zero time of PC nonsense that as you can see in this thread is ingrained into every aspect of sports reporting these days. Is there a showman aspect to him of course he has a radio show, tv show and a podcast he is trying to get people to watch and listen too but no different than Colin Cowherd or Pawwwlllll he is just ostracized more because he does not worship at the altar of MSESPN or political correctness.

He was a lifelong southern moderate democrat and even worked for Al Gore's presidential bid..his views have not changed he just got left behind by his party basically same for the otherside to be fair as well for moderates. He did not vote for the president and is married to a die hard Hillary supporter. He has a degree from Vandy and a law degree from George Washington and has self built a small media empire around him. I think like Pawwlllll a lot in the media hate just based on his success. I know the lefties on here will not take a listen but his longform interview with Ben Shapiro was a great if you have some time to check it out.

He has a base and he certainly knows how to feign outrage to rile them up. I found his gimmick tiring after a couple of weeks.

It was a bad idea. But like everything else there is a large population of people who agree with Kap. They’ll probably buy more then enough to make up for the the small percentage of people who refuse to buy Nike now.

The commercial itself is pretty good, right up until it gets to the self righteous prick st the end.
