I guess my earlier comment wasn’t clear. I’m not dead-set against the Fort Trump idea. Just don’t want America to needlessly antagonize other countries without receiving something very durable and valuable in exchange. And maybe the antagonism wouldn’t even happen, anyway. Sh¡t, maybe the Germans would actually *like* the idea of America getting out of their way, and setting up shop in Poland. That would make Poland a kind of permanent buffer-zone between Germany and Russia. Frau Merkel might love the concept, I just don’t know. But all I’m saying is, let’s find out for sure before we commit to this.
