Thanks for the free tickets Ga State!
Ga State was nice enough to run a promo to give people 2 free tickets for any home Ga State football game this season.

Super nice of them to run such a promo!

I would have paid the face value of those tickets to have been in the meeting when they realized what was going down.

Wasn't that promo intended for locals in the Summerhill area?

It is open to everybody.

However, twitter blew up with Ga Southern people getting free tickets, and they removed the promo for just that game.

We are trying to get locals involved and you guys had to ruin it. Tsk tsk.

I live in Atlanta. Can someone post the link for my free tickets to the coastal game?

I want to go with my wife. Is the offer still open?

I'm sure State lost a few thousand $$ worth of tickets before they cut off the promo for the Southern game. I got my two free tickets though. I know other people who were able to take entire rows for free.

Is the complimentary club level tix promo deal being circulated too among the enemy or is that sent just to us season ticket holders?

Thank you! I just claimed 2 free tickets to the CCU game and my buddy just got 2. All 4 of us were going to the game anyway but were waiting until closer to game day to buy them.

Very kind of GSU, but I have a feeling this will be a net loser for them. More people that were going to buy tickets anyway will claim the free ones than people that just claim them and go that wouldn’t have gone otherwise, I would speculate.

Either way, thanks panthers and thank you for posting it here!!!

So for NCAA purposes, does me and my wife and my 2 friend’s attendance not count towards their total attendance number since we are not “paid” attendees?

Isn’t that how it works? The attendee doesn’t count unless it is paid, right?

If I was a betting man, I would say they copied a promotion from last year. We didn't play y'all at home last year as you guys are usually a blackout game for any specials. The head marketer rubber stamped it, and voila! Another chapter in the book, How Not to Promote Your College Football Team, goes to Georgia State.

Got no problem with this. We have 44,000 seats and you cant sell the product if nobody knows about it. They have to come in sit down and kick the tires. What I do take exception tois the usual Athletics laziness. Why are you not taking an army of grad students into Summerhill, Mechanicsville, Grant Park,East Atlanta etc., and going door to door and going to business downtown in Peachtree Center etc and introducing the product and saying hey btw here are two tickets so you can try us out. SMH at the execution.

The modern day reboot program that most of us try to emulate got their product out there so to speak by giving away oodles of free tickets at Burger King in Miami for years.

Agree - Not a bad idea to give out tickets to the surrounding community to get some butts in seats and maybe spur some interest in the program. But really really bad execution.
