It's obvious that Troy's ranking is far more dependent upon their loss to Boise State than to their relatively comfortable win against Nebraska; Nebraska is ranked at 72 according to FPI while Troy is in a 92. Troy gained only 6 spots according to FPI for their win against Nebraska. Nebraska fell from 57 to 72. Obviously this system gives more weight to existing losses than to existing wins in predicting the rest of the schedule.

As the season goes on, Troy will get better, but I wouldn't say we're Top 25 material yet.

FPI seems to think you're not Top 90 material. I think Troy is probably a Top 60 team now, might be a Top 35 team by seasons end. However it's hard to gauge what a win against Nebraska means at this point. Troy looked like the better team out there Saturday.

Troy actually dropped 10 spots in the Massey Composite after beating Nebraska. They must not think much of Nebraska at all.

Scott Frost seems to be in a 2014 Scott Satterfield type moment.

At any rate, I can't imagine a situation in which Troy would drop for beating a Big Ten team. App didn't get much of a bump at all from taking Penn State to OT, but they didn't drop.

Too bad Troy didn't beat BSU cause that Nebraska win was awesome. That goes for App St and PSU too.

If that had happened the Sun Belt would have two teams in the Top 25, most likely.
