Basketball Seating
Does anyone know what row the chairback seating ends. Are the bench seats in every upper section?

If I remember right it's the last 10-12 rows in the corners and the last 6 rows in the center section.

Not sure this will help answer your question, although I am a little confused. The current seating chart advertised on gobearcats.com looks like this:

2,634 Padded or moveable (box) seats
3,979 Seats
2,634 Bleacher seats
________
8,979 total

I thought the new arena was at least 10,000. Is it possible this 9.000 does not include student tickets?

Wasn't 12,012 bantered about? I can't recall if that was an official number or just what was rumored earlier this summer.

Mike Bohn has stated that capacity will indeed by 12,012.

Now UC needs to make that final push to sell those 400 seats and work behind the scenes for 5th/3rd Bank and/or another corporate sponsor to buy out whatever remains right before the season begins. It's a great headline to announce the season is sold out...right before the headline when UC beats OSU in the arena opener.

Limited Number of Men’s Basketball Season Tickets Still Available

CINCINNATI – With just over 50 days remaining until the University of Cincinnati men's basketball season opener against Ohio State on Wednesday, Nov. 7, excitement continues to build for the return to newly renovated Fifth Third Arena.

Heading into this week, an estimated 97 percent of available season tickets for the arena's 12,012 seats have been sold for the coming 2018-19 campaign leaving less than 400 remaining tickets and only two of 12 price points.

With such a high demand, purchasing season tickets will be the only way fans can guarantee their seats for Bearcats' home games against both Ohio State and Xavier (Saturday, Dec. 8). Those opponents will not be included together in future potential mini plans. Possible mini plans and single-game ticket sales will be announced at a later date.

// UPPER SIDELINE (SECTIONS 202-206 & 214-218)
A limited number season tickets remain on sale in the Upper Sideline. These seating areas are located on the east and west sidelines off the upper-level concourse, offering chair back seating with LED video displays in each corner of the upper level. The 200-level seats will have a dedicated 360-degree concourse with concession stands, restrooms, elevators and stairs. (PRICE: $375 per ticket + $175 UCATS per ticket payment)
LINK

// THE INCLINE (SECTIONS 220-224)
A limited number season tickets remain on sale in the Incline, a new seating area on the north and south baselines off the upper-level concourse. Both Incline sections are cantilevered over the rUCkus student section and offer an incredible view of the action from a chair back seat. Seats on the north baseline are located directly in front of the 400-level beverage stand, while the south baseline offers easy access to the southwest corner stand. (PRICE: $375 per ticket + $500 UCATS per ticket payment)

Cincinnati's complete 2018-19 schedule with television information and tip times will be announced soon. Along with the matchup against Ohio State (time is TBA), previously announced nonconference home opponents include Xavier (Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.) in the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout and UCLA (Wednesday, Dec. 19, time is TBA).

Announced in June by the AAC, the Bearcats will welcome nine league foes to Fifth Third Arena in 2018-19: UCF, UConn, Houston, Memphis, USF, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State.

In other words, neither Temple nor ECU visits Cincy this season. Bearcats go on the road to play the Owls and Pirates. I hate playing at ECU. It's worse than many high school gyms and a loss to them, although unlikely, is an RPI buster.
