Remaining Undefeated, 1-Loss, and Winless Teams (Before Week 4)
Teams with 1st loss Week 3:
Toledo
Hawaii
Georgia Southern
Maryland
Wake Forest
Mississippi
Texas Christian
Wisconsin
Auburn
Vanderbilt
Utah
Louisiana-Lafayette
Boise State
Illinois
Baylor
Houston
Ohio
Eastern Michigan
Louisiana-Monroe
Arizona State

Percent of Undefeated Teams with 1st Loss
Week 0/1: 36.92% (48/130)
Week 2: 34.15% (28/82)
Week 3: 37.04% (20/54)

Maximum possible Undefeated Teams at End of the Regular Season:
9: We lost our possible undefeated Mountain West and Sun Belt champions. We can have one undefeated in each conference except those two plus Notre Dame.

Week 3 Thoughts:
-Highest percent of undefeateds we have had lose in a week yet. Last year we were to week 4 before we went up.

-Even with Ohio State winning vs. TCU, overall bad week for the Big Ten and fairly good for the Big 12 with Wisconsin losing to BYU being the biggest shocker (although if Illinois had held out against South Florida that might have actually been the bigger one).

-Big week for the Group of 5 conference spot for the New Years 6 bowl. Hawaii, and more importantly, Boise State lost which eliminates the last undefeated teams from the Mountain West. The conference is not eliminated from competition here (Boise State got it with a 2-loss team before-the only 2 loss team in thus far), but at a disadvantage now. The Sun Belt also saw the last of their undefeateds eliminated and they will probably need far more help to get back in (a major victory out of conference). Meanwhile in the MAC, we had 2 undefeateds square off and Buffalo won. Buffalo, along with Akron (which beat Northwestern this week), are probably the best chances for the MAC at the moment.

Week 4 Thoughts:
-Below I have added the lists for both winless and 1-loss teams. The 1-loss team list is important in a variety of ways. Since the start of the BCS, every team from an AQ/P5 conference that has made the championship bowl(s) has had 0 or 1 loss with the exception of 2007 LSU. While I expect this to happen more often with 4 teams, we have still yet to have a 2-loss team make it. For non-AQ/Group of 5 conference teams making BCS/NY6 bowls, every team to do so except for Boise State the first year of the CFP has had 0 or 1 loss.

-We have 5 games between undefeated teams: Missouri @ Georgia, Louisiana Tech @ LSU, Mississippi State @ Kentucky, North Carolina State @ Marshall, and Stanford @ Oregon.

Thoughts on games:
-Stanford vs. Oregon: Two of the likely big 3 competing for the PAC-12 North. Both undefeated and 1-loss might be enough to throw out of playoff bowls for PAC-12 this year (or might not ? )
-Texas A&M @ undefeated Alabama: The Aggies played Clemson a few weeks ago. Will be interesting to see how they compare with them vs. Alabama.
-Wisconsin @ undefeated Iowa: Huge game for Big Ten West. Iowa fairly good so far and if they beat Wisconsin this week, would go to being favored in the west most likely.
-Undefeated Buffalo @ Rutgers and NC State @ undefeated Marshall: Keeping the MAC and Conference USA in this means winning games like this. Beating NC State admittedly a much bigger help right now.
