RE: Gillette Goes After Nike with SCATHING Ad That Will SHAME Nike FOREVER
Gilette didn't go after Nike per se... but it DOES show that Nike is making a pure political statement rather than a statement about role models, people who risk things, and people who overcome bigger obstacles.

I just don't see how a millionaire making millions by playing a GAME, protesting the flag of the country that gave him that opportunity is an appropriate time and place to make the statement he wanted (or claimed to want) to make.

The idea that the country oppresses black people (which is not without some merit) delivered during a 'game' where a significant number of minorities (relative to the population) are making more in a week than most people make in a year is insane... and turning it to protest police, many of whom are minorities (again, most often relative to the population) and they are there in significant numbers to PROTECT those minority (and majority) millionaires from 'the riff raff' who pay their salaries... often by buying tickets that are a days of more salary for them.

Truly insane. Not a bad message, just a bad forum.
