Happy Birthday Arkansas State!
Yesterday North Texas confirmed Arkansas State as being the best football team in the state of Arkansas. (Try to find a Razorback fan that will deny this)

Please take advantage of this and forever break Fran Broyles ancient curse of the Arkansas Razorbacks being thought of as the state's only relevant sports program.
You have at least one full season to get this accomplished. Try to do everything possible that establishes your school as bearing the standard for your state.

Not a troll at all but I can understand the paranoia as you've probably been brainwashed all your life by the Razorbacks propaganda machine. The Red Wolves are playing great this season and the Razorbacks are the butt of SEC necrophilia jokes. Your school has right now an ENORMOUS opportunity to break the stereotypes of being second fiddle to the pigs.

The king is dead (at least for the foreseeable future). Seize this opportunity.

Pretty much have done that for the last 8 years. We'll just keep doing what we're doing. The rest will take care of itself.

Every team that embarrasses and exposes those clowns holds a special place in my heart. Up until yesterday ULM was the goat. They really should have won twice but regardless UNT now holds a special place too.

Totally outclassed them in a money game. Hogville has been a pleasure to read.

I would ad that in most cases, not all, the internet ***** slapping between the 2 fan bases usually is started with some comment from a pig fan. Then they whine when we defend ourselves.

I disagree. Doing what you've always been doing will have you treading water until the pig nation eventually recovers. The timing is right to start the revolution.

To quote the legendary philosopher Eric Stratten "I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation requires a really futile and stupid gesture to be done on somebody's part."

Why not do something stupid and outlandish that lays claim to the whole state?

How about getting some of those billboard covers made with your logo that say Arkansas, The Red Wolves State. These could be placed in Little Rock, other metropolitan areas, and also moved to the major entrance corridors to the state.

Why not buy thousands of the AState flags and send them out (even at a loss) to alumni and fans all over the state?

Why not buy a commercial or two during sports on the Little Rock news?

Get the attention of the state and win their hearts. These type of opportunities for change don't come along too often.

Like KARK with the Hog-branded Razorbacks only sports segments?

RE: Happy Birthday Arkansas State!
I have not conceded since 2012 that we would lose to Arkansas. I certainly wouldn't this year. I also tell anyone who asks that we would be happy to schedule a home and home with them and we would kick the snot out of them in Jonesboro. If they scoff at my statement, I just say,

"well too bad your admin is to chicken $h!+ to play the game."

RE: Happy Birthday Arkansas State!
Want to have fun with a pig fan this week? Send them a box score of the last time North Texas beat us in football, just be sure to note the date. We beat the Greenies their last 8 years in the SBC, so it dates back to 2004 when Jamario Thomas was running back and half our fan base got banned from gomeangreen.com for making fun of his learning disability.

Otherwise, I'm fairly confident we could do everything possible to prove ourselves better, but it would accomplish nothing. Closest we ever came was 2012 when they lost to ULM and we beat the Warhawks by a couple touchdowns 2 months later. Maybe if we collided with UNT in a bowl game its possible, but frankly, I have no desire to face Mason Fine in a game...period.

The number of people who just wake up one morning and say, "I'm going to follow a new team today" is pretty small.

Ninety-Five percent of p5 fans will never change allegiances. They do not have the brain power and non-herd mentality.

Fans are generational. It takes a generation to change the direction of fans, by winning now, it’s the young fans of today that are finding their way who’s attention you are after. It will show in 10 years if you guys were successful in turning eyes in your direction during this down time for the pigs.
