Toledo showed up late in the second quarter. A little too late

I really thought we would do better. Don’t want to point fingers. We were definitely out matched. They were fast and put pressure on us on both sides of the ball. Appeared to me they had plenty of depth too. We did have our moments when we looked very good. Not sure if that week off hurt us or helped us. Bring on Nevada

i think we looked good once we got used to playing a good team about halfway through the 2nd quarter. obviously, they came to play and we buckled a little to start, but the measure of a team is how it plays once it has made a few adjustments and dug its heels in. from mid second quarter to early-mid 4th quarter we outscored them 24-14. if we have a tougher game before we don't fall behind by 21. might not have won, but would have been closer. we all saw a very simple version of our offense. things will open up more as they get comfortable and the QB gets some experience. remember, bruce struggled a lot his first couple games. then the light came on. guadagni seemed to be excellent once he relaxed and just played ball

Don't think Miami ends up with a great season. I can see them losing quite a few ACC games. If you watched TCU against Ohio State - that's a fast team with talent.

Will end up with 10 or 11 regular season wins. Lose to Clemson for the ACC Title. Plus possibility of a Bowl win.

And Miami is not a fast team ??
The Canes will win their share of games, and all the Vanilla Ice clones I spoke with, gave Toledo a lot of respect...

Wisconsin and OSU have a lot of stars on the line too. Better formations and play calling, getting those correct match-ups can still make up the difference.

I'm not sure what to make of it, that UT won the middle of the game in both 2017 and 2018. Same talent played Q1 and Q4 as played those two middle quarters that UT won. Our receivers weren't just sort of open. They were Grandma could make this pass, open. The coach found calls that gave G time to make the passes. Our running plays seemed to run into the backs of tackles instead of into holes.

Live and learn. It was still a fun game.

That was the best defensive line Toledo has played against, maybe ever. Our O-line did okay. We will know more against Nevada.

Then how scary is the SEC? LSU basically knocked that Miami D line aside. Our O-line had its moments. I agree it's a TBD. Can't change history but I do believe they'd have been better prepared with another game under their belt, even at the risk of injury.
