First round is looking even more likely for OX. Mel Kiper has him at No. 21 on his draft board. Big news

Coincidentally, our former commit Caleb Wilson is Mel Kiper's fourth rated TE.

I admittedly do not pay much attention to the NFL draft at this point in time, but how high is Oshane projected to go among mid-majors?

Perhaps the first one. He is one spot ahead of Jalen Ferguson of La. Tech per Kiper. The Buffalo WR is high on most boards but not in Kiper's Top 25.

I'll throw this out only as a discussion point. Do not jump down my throat!

If are are OX, and you only have two relatively meaningless games in front of you, do you shut it down- rule out injury- and start prepping for the combine? There is A LOT of money sitting in front of you. Life changing money.

He has a chance to grow his stock over the course of the last 2 games. I would be very disappointed in him if he shut it down over the last 2 games. It's a very selfish move and much of his success is due to not only his teammates, but also the coaches and the university. He didn't do it alone.

Ximenes does not seem like the kind of guy to abandon his teammates, though I do understand there is a risk of injury.

I don't necessarily agree. I would like him to play the last 2 games but I also want to see him have a great NFL career. If he feels he needs to shut it down to do that I wont fault him.

No one remembers the fact that Christian McCaffrey didnt play in his last bowl game but they remember him on the field now for the Panthers.

Bowl games are different than the regular season. This is a nonsense discussion because it is not going to happen. Would hurt his great intangibles. Indeed, he has a great chance to increase his stats and be the leader in several categories.

I would be completely shocked if Oshane elected not to play these last two games. Would be completely out of character.

Get an insurance policy that pays in the millions and play the final 2 games to raise your stock and pad your stats 04-rock

I think the staff limits his PT to allow others to gain experience. I think it will happen naturally as course of developing others in prep for next year. I would't play inn the senior bowl.

Not playing in the Senior Bowl would be incredibly dumb of him.

I worry they will try to move him to LB vs DE to see what he can do. NFLers are projecting him as a LB not DE.

Why would you worry about something that would be a positive? His build is that of the prototypical NFL OLB in a 3-4.

He's around 6-4 250. The average DE is 6-4 280 in the NFL. He's borderline sizewise for a full time DE. However, if he can show he can rush the passer standing up, he's almost certainly a 1st rounder. Sizewise, he's around perfect for a 3-4 edge rusher. As an undersized DE, he's not likely to go early. Barnett went in the first, but he had SEC experience and was a little bigger.

Khalil Mack and Von Miller are basically the exact same size as OX. Whats your point?
