Just think of all the past National Champs we have played either home or away. COLORADO, OSU, MICHIGAN, PITT, PENN STATE, BYU, MIAMI, plus, Boise State, Missouri and Arizona even though they weren't National Champs. I still don't believe the final score was indicative of our performance.

GO ROCKETS

Yea? Well we've played Presbyterian College at home!! How bout them apples!!

I thought Utah was a nice schedule for NIU.04-bow

Yea, that's a lot nicer than the horrible schedule we've had for more than a decade. We're supposed to have BYU come to DeKalb too, not sure who else. Maryland I think? No great shakes but at least P5. For now.

Toledo has BYU and that's it for P5ish teams coming here. MSU, ND, OSU, Illinois on the road though... Times of high profile home games are gone.

Not necessarily. Still 1 home opening for '20 and '21, 2 for '22 and beyond.

I'll take a game with San Diego State over a number of P5 schools.

RE: My view post-Miami
U Miami has a national and regional fan base (including in midwest), there were thousands of U Miami at the game. Not so sure how many other teams with that would be attracted to play UT in the GB for an early season non-conference game. Hope to see more P5 teams come to the GB in the future, but in terms of buzz and attendance not sure we will see the likes of U Miami game for a while, felt like a once in a decade event.
