New F- LOT
I certainly enjoyed my new F-Lot parking space last night. We had plenty of space for car and tent and enjoyed the surroundings. It seemed like a quick trek to our gate and Club seats. We had a bunch of P Lotters in F-Lot who also enjoyed their visit. Thank you to JMU employees who brought our trash bags to us. Thank you parking attendants who let us in before 5pm. After being at NCS & NSU game, there's no place like Home!!!

The spots were exceptionally wide, my full sized Tundra had significantly more clearance on either side than a normal parking space.

We parked in F last night instead of our usual P. It is very nice. My only concern would be having to Exit after the game at the entance nearest Hanson. Sure would be nice to Exit at the entrance near Eagle and turn right to Port Republic.

The gameday traffic patterns are something that I’ve often questioned. What it comes down to is they drop 500 cars out of the parking deck into port road, then F and P (and formerly Hanson) out the other roads. The numbers work out, but most games by the time I leave most of the traffic is gone and I don’t understand why they enforce it when the rush is out. I’ve always hated leaving p lot and being directed into campus. Sometimes they let you go toward port road but usually not.

With the Convo dumping out onto Port Republic, I'm gonna say is a major reason to limit the other lots. That's a lot of vehicles coming out of the east campus area with a huge percentage of those needing to turn left to get on 81 South. If you add in F, P, and G you'd take forever to get Convo and D emptied.
