When I was there as a student a long time ago I'm pretty sure homeless people showed up for the games at the Dome since no one else did. It was an opportunity to get a quiet nap in an air conditioned building.
I wasn't homeless, but my friends and I used to go to the games for the free air, and eat nachos in the dome back in the day. Man, you could shoot a sawed off shotgun in there and not hit anyone. I have never seen a city where the hometown team is less ignored than Tulane is.
I go every year the Tiger's are in town. There is always tickets available. I always park at my friends comic book shop near Yulman stadium.
For the outta town Tigers, I would recommend going early, taking the street car down St Charles and walking through Tulane's campus to get to the stadium. They have a really pretty campus.
