“It’s kind of the same thing as FIU,” said senior quarterback Jonathan Banks, who was a miserable 5 of 16 day for 36 yards on that October day in Miami. “They (the Blazers) are a lower team than us, but we are playing them away."

RE: Tulane Trashtalk
They are faster and more talented at every position than the team that just ran all over us. If the team needs trash talk to get up for this one then there will be fewer fans in the stands in the second half then there were for the Thursday night game because the game will be out of hand by then.

The team doesn’t need trash talk to get up for the game because I’m sure the coaching staff has them ready. I think seeing this will add an extra boost.

I Hope so.

I wanted to get another feel for our last opponent so watched the first half of their storm rescheduled game yesterday. I watched the mighty Campbell Fighting Camels get up 21-10 on Coastal before I had seen enough.

If this team doesn't have another gear they haven't shown us yet, its going to be long year.

Yeah I know. I watched that game as well and saw Coastal do pretty much what they did to us in the second half of that game. Go blazers!

After that, they went on a 48-0 run and ended up beating them 58-21.

You think you can put any stock into anything that happened in that game?

Not really. No idea why people compare scores.

It's early in the year and there are not a lot of data points to go off of. That's doubly true for us because our first game was worse than a scrimmage as far as telling what sort of team we have. We will know a lot more after Saturday vs Tulane. I watched a replay of the Tulane-Wake OT game, and I watched Wake play well against a good BC team tonight. Will be interesting to see how we match up with them.

I was talking more about the game time and place. They literally moved from a home game at night on Saturday to a road game in the middle of the day as a hurricane was coming through where they live. I put zero stock into anything that happened under those circumstances.

We compare scores because it is the most obvious data we have, not because it is reliable. It is really just for fun. UAB has had great games against several good teams followed by horrible games against average teams. It's what fans can do to follow their team.

Fun example -- The 2000 LSU team lost @ Auburn, lost at Homecoming to UAB and then swept the rest of its SEC games (including Bama and UTK) and capped its second season later by winning the NC. That UAB team, as I recall, did not have a winning record for the season.

A large portion of this is completely inaccurate.

Mr. Banks needs to stick to the superb job he is doing as Mike on Better Call Saul. He’s not that good of a QB

So much for a upper te beating a lower team. Anyone else notice the P6 Flag Tulane cheerleaders brought on the field with Tulane came out for the beginnng if the game?

I can't believe we gave this lower team a return game. I'm sure that was Mark Ingram's idea. 05-stirthepot

Yeah, I couldnt figure out what their flags meant.

The AAC is trying to position themselves as the sixth P5 conference. P5 laughs at it, and everyone thinks that they're just a wannabe, but that's what the P6 flag is about.

I think if all of the teams have P6 flags at every game, eventually it will catch on.
