That's also the reason I haven't been posting much lately. See, when I get entangled in political debate, I allow myself to become outraged at what those I'm debating with say.

I ask those I have wronged to forgive me for lashing out at you. Forgive me for my transgressions against you.

Some know how to trigger me; to make me go from calm to seething with rage in an instant. Mentioning my Coogs as "CougarHigh" is one way.

That ends today. As of right now, I am taking my life back from my addiction. I will no longer allow myself to be outraged. I am in control.

So to those who have insulted my Coogs, insulted me, and insulted my family, you have no control over me anymore. You do not dictate how I should feel about anything. I will no longer allow you to outrage me. I am in control of my outrage.

You don't have to agree with me politically. In fact, I don't mind if you feel that I'm wrong. The point is we should be decent human beings to each other regardless of political opinion. We need to remember how we united together after a horrific tragedy we as a country suffered seventeen years ago yesterday. We must be respectful to each other if we are to find our way back to civility.

I will pray for those who have wronged me. I will also pray for those I have wronged. Lastly, I will pray for everyone on this board, including myself, that we find our way back to treating each other with brotherly love and respect.

I love all of you, especially those who disagree with me.

I can introduce you to a thing called the gym and a little program called 5/3/1. It could help with that, help build some muscle, and maybe make you too tired to be outraged.

This is all just silly stuff we engage in to kill time - see if there are others that agree with our opinions, or don't.

Interestingly enough, here in the spin room, there are actually some really intelligent people that post.......and then there's Mach and RedTom .....kidding!!! Kidding!!

I think people tend to go to extremes a bit more than necessary at times. I realize that folks with different political/religious/etc. thoughts from yours can get you frustrated or upset, but I seriously doubt anyone here is one of those extremists that we're seeing on the news making headlines in one way or the other.

Personally while I don't agree with 95 percent of what certain people are saying, I do appreciate reading their comments.

But I posted something similar a week ago. Life is too short to let these things get you down. Especially from people you know - maybe just save some of your anger (if you must) on people you don't know at all.

Anybody else see this as a nice stress reliever of a place where you get to blow off some steam by being a dick?

we all get triggered over various thingys....and various serious debates can be had....

what I find unique is how certain thingys trigger the inner being and the 'anonymous' becomes a 'shared personal'.....it's akin to not having to pay to go to the 'head doctor' in the horizontal.....lmfao

This is the exact reason I deactivated my FB account. This place doesn't seem to make me lose control although I could probably exercise a little more restraint and civility. Good post and good luck.

Yes. Unlike Facebook - which I have deactivated - where I personally know most of my "friends" and have to deal with the repercussions of becoming too angry or too vitriolic at their asinine political views here I leave my feelings at the door. I may mistakenly assume that most others also leave their feelings at the door but I'm going on the premise that if you are on a board like this, in a forum like this, then you aren't a thin-skinned individual.

I've always operated on the premise that if you're going choose to allow what someone on the internet has to say to ruin your day that's on you for making such a choice.
