Those guys will be back in Blacksburg. You can only travel with 70.

Non conference game. They can bring however many they like.

Why did we only take 70 to Liberty?

The only thing to look forward to this season is tailgating. I’m going to increase my tailgating time by an hour and plan to leave the game at halftime. Our program has hit its lowest point.

This. Consensus for our group is: Let's get blasted, then bring the pain.

And I hope no one gets hurt, on either side, in this rather pointless game.

OOh don't be so sure yet. We have VMI coming in few short weeks.

I won’t be renewing my season tix if we lose to VMI. Tailgating won’t be enough.

I didn't count them as they got on the bus.

Somewhere on here is the CUSA football rules link I posted, but that was ~3wks and 45 threads ago.

Playing out the string.

In September.

In week #3.

SMH

Starting to have the same mindset as I had during the 5-25 hoops season-just an acceptance, "it is what it is" of how bad we are and not losing any sleep over it.

And that year had the excuse of a sloshed coach!

RE: Game 3: ODU at Charlotte
All 3 games affected by weather. 2 delays and one game moved up 2 days.

I hope Williams settles down now that this is his team.

After watching these 3 games over again, I blame the players not the coaches. Too many mental breakdowns in all 3 games.

Jeremy Cox is too slow. Defensive linemen are much faster than him.

No 2nd helpings for the O-line. They look too plump.

Are some players staying up all night before a game? Lack of sleep can have a drastic effect on performance. Are they allowed to keep their cell phones with them? If they are, that’s a problem.

Ten years ago, Alabama got beat by a Sun Belt school. Sure, we’re not Alabama but I think it’s fair to say this program will have bad seasons every now and then.

I'm not counting this one just yet.

Keep calm and Go Monarchs. We'll see ya'll next week.

The teams we were facing also had to deal with weather and delays. It's a poor excuse.

That is probably worse for this defense.

I would guess that our pass rush would do considerably better against VMIs o line and cause enough disruptions to get of the field. Zero faith in our secondary though.

Zero faith in the secondary for 10 years. so tough to watch our secondary play off and soft all day long and in game deciding situations. When its 3rd down in the 4th quarter, please challenge the WR's by playing up on them when every route was underneath on the day.

We are forever doomed to get burned on curl routes for eternity.

No need for me to cover the shortcomings, as that is well covered here. So I'll focus on what I thought were positives.

Lawrence Garner, who entered the game in the top 10 in tackles with 27, had 15 yesterday. Dude just seems to have a nose for the ball.

LaLa showed he has the best vision of any back (who has played) on the team as a true freshman. At times, he looked like a Ray clone. I mean, I could watch runs like this all day;

OShane got another sack and should have had more, if not for pourous pass coverage.

Duhart is a star. And Fulgham should have had a TD. It's a shame they both keep running beautiful routes but can't get a ball thrown in arms length.

Really? I appreciate the effort but somehow showing the three positive plays from that turd sundae wrings hollow. There isn't enough whipped cream in the world. 03-banghead

Yes, really. As I already stated, there are more than enough posts covering the failures of BW and staff.

LaLa averaged 6.3 yards per carry in his first game.

Lawrence Garner is averaging 14 tackles per game.

OShane is showing why he's likely to be our first player drafted.

Duhart had 127 yards receiving yesterday and is averaging 120 per game.

That's all worth highlighting.

If you want to dwell on the negatives, be my guest. But you don't need to @ me for highlighting the dudes putting in work.
